Madeline Crawford and Jeremy Whitman novel Chapter 2330

Chapter 2330

She initially had something she wanted to ask him, but now that she was sitting in his car, Ava did not know how to start the conversation.

She looked at the cars coming and going outside the car window. A burst of desolation suddenly surged in her heart.

“If I guessed correctly, you agreed to get in my car because you want to ask me something, right?” Suddenly, Tom broke the silence in the car.

Ava came back to her senses and looked at the man who was driving.

Tom looked sideways with a faint smile. He looked very gentlemanly and warm.

Ava nodded without denying it. “Yes, Ido want to ask you about something.”

“Is it about Dr. Long?” Tom asked very directly. There was a hint of surprise in Ava's eyes. It was as if she was surprised that Tom had read her mind.

“It was just a guess.”

Tom opened his mouth to say that before continuing.

“Tran into Dr. Long when I drove you to the apartment near the company. At that time, I thought you looked a lot like him, and both of you have the same surname too. I just wondered if you were father and daughter. I didn't expect it to be the case.”

Ava involuntarily fell into silence when she heard what Tom said.

‘I guess I look like him, huh?’

Ava finally came back to her senses after staying silent for a very long time.

“How did you meet him?”

“Him? Do you mean Dr. Long?”

You’ re good friends with my sister, so I think we can be friends too. You don’t have to call me ‘Mr. Lowe’ outside of the office. You can just call me by my name.”

Tom was magnanimous, but for some reason, Ava was not used to that.

It was not a problem to be friends with the boss of her company, but she would feel awkward calling him by his name.

Tom seemed to sense Ava’s awkwardness, so he smiled gentlemanly. “It’s fine. You can slowly get used to it. You’ll get used to something if you keep doing it. Not everyone can sit at the same table and have a meal with someone they just met.” Ava seemed to relax a lot after she heard Tom saying that.

“Thank you, Mr. Lowe,” Ava thanked him.

Tom smiled and did not pressure Ava.

“Right, what else do you want to ask me after getting into my car? I met Dr. Long a few days ago and we chatted for a while. I could tell that he had something heavy in his heart, and it seems to be related to you.” There was a hint of curiosity and doubt in Tom’s words.
