Realizing this, Hannah suddenly flustered.
“Eveline, you’ve been playing tricks on me this whole time.“
“I didn’t. You told me yourself you wouldn’t let this rest so easily, “ Madeline replied calmly.
“You…“
Hannah’s eyes turned red from anger. She then suddenly took a sharp fruit knife from her pocket and pointed it to Madeline.
“You’ve been playing me like a monkey! “ Hannah roared out, looking very aggressive. “I will not let you leave today! I will definitely not let you leave! Ah!“
Suddenly, Hannah lost control of her emotions and rushed toward Madeline.
At this moment, the door of the rooftop was kicked open and a figure rushed toward Hannah’s side like a sharp sword being pulled out of its sheath.
Hannah was pushed over by a strong force. When she looked up and saw clearly, Jeremy had come to Madeline’s side, tightly protecting her in his arms.
Hannah gritted her teeth fiercely. When she got up to continue attacking Madeline, Jeremy suddenly lifted his long legs and kicked the fruit knife in Hannah’s hand far away.
“Enough is enough! “
Jeremy said angrily, his sharp eyes pierced at Hannah mercilessly like icy blades.
Hannah raised her scarlet eyes unwillingly and looked into Jeremy’s eyes.
“You should believe it, and you should be grateful for the truth.” Madeline patiently convinced, “ Hannah, you thought something happened to you and Jeremy, so you feel as if you have been abandoned and you are very unwilling and angry.
But, in fact, you are still innocent and intact. No one has let anyone down or abandoned anyone, so you should just let this matter go.”
After listening to what Madeline said, Hannah was dumbfounded for a moment before she reacted.
“Haha…”
She suddenly lost control and started cackling. “Hahaha…”
Madeline and Jeremy looked at each other. They both felt that Hannah’s mannerism was becoming very strange.
