Madeline Crawford and Jeremy Whitman novel Chapter 2058

Madeline figured that Shirley might not be able to reply to the message now, so she could only wait patiently.

About noon, Madeline finally received a message from Shirley.

Shirley told her that Carter was out to buy lunch at this time, so that was why Shirley had a chance to reply to the message.

Additionally, Shirley told Carter that she did not feel too well, and she deliberately asked Carter to go to the pharmacy to buy a medicine that did not exist at all.

After learning about this situation, Madeline rushed to the hotel immediately.

Madeline remembered the room number very well. When she arrived, she rang the doorbell. Shirley immediately opened the door after hearing Madeline’s voice, but she found that the door could not be opened at all.

“Carter must have done something from the outside. Eveline, can you see if something is stuck outside the door?”

After hearing that, Madeline immediately looked around the door and found that something was indeed stuck on the handle of the door.

It seemed that Carter had spent so much effort to prevent Shirley from sneaking Lillian away.

Madeline quickly untied the rope tied to the doorknob and Shirley quickly opened the door smoothly.

As soon as the door opened, Madeline saw Lillian’s cute and ignorant little face.

“Mommy.”

When Lillian saw Madeline, she immediately shrieked happily.

“Lily.” Madeline reached out and touched her little cheek.

“Eveline, hurry and take your daughter away. Carter will find out that I lied to him if you delayed. He might be back soon.”

Madeline took Lillian’s hand and pulled her to her side. “Aren’t you coming with me?”

Lillian nodded and suddenly reached out her little hand to hold Shirley’s hand, handing handed a paper lucky star she folded into Shirley’s palm.

Shirley immediately understood what Lillian was trying to say. She smiled amicably. “Thank you, Lily. I hope I can go forward in my life with good luck as you wish.”

Lillian smiled and turned to go back to Madeline.

Madeline bent down and picked Lillian up. She ran to the elevator without missing a beat.

“Mommy, ” Lillian called out  to Madeline childishly. Her two adorable hands held Madeline’s neck tightly as she nestled into Madeline’s arms like she was simpering.

Madeline held the little girl in distress. “Good girl, Lily. I’ll take you home now.”

Madeline comforted her. However, when she was about to reach the elevator, the elevator door opened, and she saw Carter.
