Madeline Crawford and Jeremy Whitman novel Chapter 2008

“Who is this?”

Madeline glanced at Hannah and introduced, “She just started learning with me…”

“Hello, Mr. Sutton. My name is Hannah Bolton, and I am Mr. Whitman’s person.”

“…”  Mr. Sutton was stunned.

Madeline knew that Hannah had said this on purpose, and she also knew that the client had misunderstood.

She smiled slightly and casually corrected Hannah, “This is Miss Bolton, and she just started to learn perfume making with me. She currently lives in Whitman Manor because of work requirements, so she is considered a guest of the Whitmans.”

Upon hearing this, the client looked dazed. “I see. ” “Yes. ” Madeline smiled and nodded in affirmation.

Hannah glared at Madeline in displeasure. When she wanted to emphasize her relationship with Jeremy, Madeline suddenly looked at her with a sharp look.

Hannah had never seen Madeline look at her like this. The piercing glint in Madeline’s eyes was icy cold, and it instantly fell on Hannah’s face in a breathtaking manner.

Hannah did not dare to speak anymore, let alone talk nonsense.

She pouted and did not speak any further. She was as quiet as a mouse as she sat beside Madeline.

Madeline talked happily with the client Mr. Sutton for an hour. The client tried the perfume and was very satisfied. He said that he would increase the amount of the order and that despite the long wait, it was worth it. He immediately signed a new contract with Madeline.

Hannah said nothing as she watched, but she knew that this order would be messed up and that Madeline would have to bear serious responsibilities.

That was because Hannah had tampered with all the data recorded during Madeline’s perfume- making process in the afternoon.

If the perfume was produced according to that data, the smell of the perfume would not be the same as it was now when produced. Madeline would be finished then.

Without looking at Hannah, Madeline turned her head to smile at Jeremy on the screen instead. “ Jeremy, I’ll see you at home later. I’m hanging up now.”

“Okay, see you later, ” Jeremy replied softly and did not hang up.

Madeline knew what Jeremy was thinking. He was never willing to be the first one to hang up.

“Eveline, I want to say a few words to Mr. Whitman. Why are you so…”

“What’s wrong with me?” Madeline suddenly interrupted her and asked as she hung up the phone.

Hannah widened her eyes, displeased. “Eveline, I’m already Mr. Whitman’s person, and I’ve already moved into Whitman Manor. So, who are you to prevent me from talking to Mr. Whitman? Also, why did you introduce me like that just now? Was I wrong? Am I not Mr. Whitman’s person?”

Hannah shrieked arrogantly. She was so loud that the driver could even hear her clearly. Madeline slammed the newly signed contract on the seat with a loud slam and then lifted her stern and beautiful eyes. “Enough is enough.”
