Agatha admitted that she was a cruel mother to Irvin. But she would never claim Magnus was better than her. She even believed Magnus was more malicious and shameless than she.
Magnus had benefited from her abandoning Irvin. Yet, he still had the gall to stand on some moral high ground and pass judgment on her.
As a man in power, Magnus couldn't possibly tolerate the way Agatha had spoken to him. His expression darkened, and he was about to speak again.
But then, Agatha said, "Now that Tim is back and has proven how capable he is, it's time for you to step down, Magnus. So, get to it! Didn't you use to say you wanted to retire early to travel the world and enjoy life? Well, that time has come."
No one knew a son better than his mother. Timothy had yet to tell Agatha anything, and it hadn't been long since she regained full clarity. Despite this, she already knew what her son wanted. And without him needing to say a thing to her, she had already demanded what he wanted on his behalf.
All of Agatha's intelligence and wit were dedicated entirely to helping Timothy obtain everything he desired.
Magnus was so enraged by Agatha's words that he actually laughed.
"It looks like instead of recovering, your mind has actually gotten worse! You shouldn't be recuperating at home. It's time you went to a psychiatric hospital!" he exclaimed.
Magnus genuinely believed Agatha had dared to speak to him like that because her mental state had deteriorated.
Even so, he didn't care whether or not that was the case. The fact that she had the guts to even speak to him that way meant she should be admitted to a psychiatric hospital and come to her senses.
Thus, as soon as the words left Magnus' mouth, he shouted toward the door. He called for people to come and take Agatha away.
Magnus and Agatha had been married for several years. Yet, he was calling for her to be sent to a psychiatric hospital when she had only criticized him a little.
Agatha scoffed at his actions. Then, she said, "Let's put it to the test, Magnus. Which will happen first? You admitting me into a psychiatric hospital, or me getting you locked up behind bars?"
