Chapter 425
The news that Flora had been buried was overwhelming.
Savanna had just taken care of the document. Savanna leaned back and felt both physically and mentally exhausted. Savanna closed her eyes and rubbed her eyebrows with her hands. Savanna did not know if it was because she was pregnant or because she worked too hard every day. Savanna felt that her vision was getting worse and worse. Savanna could not see anything clearly.
The door rang
As Savanna said ‘come in’, the sound of high heels touching the ground was even louder. Savanna opened her eyes and saw the smiling face of Lizeth. Lizeth carried a lunch box and walked towards Savanna.
“Ms. Thompson, it’s time to have lunch.”
Yesterday, Savanna was diagnosed with anemia. Lizeth bought some tonic ingredients early in the morning. Lizeth opened the box, took out the tonic soup, and handed the spoon to Savanna. “It’s porridge. Istewed it for several hours. And this is crabroe I peeled it for an entire afternoon.”
Savanna saw that Lizeth’s fingers were wrapped in bandages, and a burst of bitterness welled upin her heart. “Thank you for your hard work, Lizeth.”
Lizeth smiled, her eyes glowing. “It’s my pleasure. Ms. Thompson, I should thank you. Today, Seth said that his legs are getting better.”
“Great!” Savanna shouted excitedly.
There were tears in Lizeth’s eyes. “Ms. Thompson, thank you for what you did for Seth.”
Savanna held Lizeth’s hand. “Don’t be so polite. Lizeth, I have no sisters. In my heart, 1 regard you as my sister.”
Lizeth choked and could not say a word.
After being excited for a while, their emotions slowly calmed down. Savanna ate and Lizeth waited on her. After Savanna finished eating, Lizeth walked away with the box and asked Savanna, “Ms.
Thompson, what do you want to eat? Call me. No matter what the dishes are, I will cook them.”
Savanna smiled and waved her hand. “Alright, go.”
Lizeth closed the door as she turned to leave.
Fortunately, Savanna got Lizeth. Lizeth was able to manage Savanna’s home in an orderly manner.
Savanna did not need to worry about it at all, including the two naughty kids. Lizeth was able to manage them well recently.
Savanna was really happy that Seth’s legs were getting better. After two marriages, Lizeth finally
met Seth. However, so many troubles were caused. Sometimes, Savanna thought that if it was not because of her and Brandon, perhaps Seth would not be sick and paralyzed by surgery. In the end, Savanna seli sorry for Lizeth Savanna always hoped that Seth would get better quickly and have a wedding with Lizeth.
The improvement of Seth’s illness gave Savanna new hope. She believed that Brandon would wake up soon as well.
Hum, hum, hum.
Someone called. Savanna saw that it was a stranger. She raised her finger and refused the call. Just two seconds later, the phone rang again.
Savanna picked up the phone but did not speak immediately. The people on the other side was also silent. Savanna looked at the phone number again and thought that maybe someone called her mistakenly. Just as Savanna was about to lang up, a voice slowly came,”Savanna, let’s talk.”
“What do you want to talk about?
Savanna recognized that it was Tyrell
Hearing Savanna’s warning, Tyrell promised, “Don’t worry, I won’t hurt you. I really have something to tell you.”
“Come to the Young Group”
Savanna set the meeting place at the Young Group because she was afraid that Tyrell would play tricks
On the other hand, Tyrell agreed without thinking, “Alright.”
A few minutes later, the intercom rang and the secretary reported, “Ms. Thompson, there is a Mr. Goodwin who wants to make an appointment with you, is that okay?”
“Let him in,” Savanna said.
After a while, the door was pushed open. Tyrell, who was dressed in black, came in. Tyrell wanted to close the door. Savanna stopped him. “My secretary is about to bring tea in. Mr. Goodwin, please have a seat.”
Of course, Tyrell knew Savanna’s concerns. After all, so many things had happened before, and Savanna was afraid of him. Tyrell glanced at the open door, and Jim had already walked over from outside, staring at Tyrell with a fierce gaze,
biological child. I love him more than anyone.”
“When are you coming to pick him up? Tell me the time. When I go back, I still have to talk to him.
After all, he grew up in the Cassel family. He is dependent on me.”
“I can do it anytime.
“I know that he has deep feelings for you. After knowing the truth, it is really not easy for you to treat him as always. Thanks.”
Savanna said, “In any case, Tracy was raised in the Cassel family. Tracy has suffered a lot since she was young. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have become like that. Tyrell, no one likes war. Take Mandel and live well, and then let our grudge … be written off.”
After receiving Savanna’s promise, Tyrell rubbed his eyes and said with embarrassment, “There is sand in my eyes.”
“Alright, don’t be so pretentious. Mandel is a little naughty. You should be more tolerant.”
As Tyrell’s eyes turned red, he stood up from his stool and turned around. “After you persuade him, call me. Thanks.”
Tyrell could almost bury his head to his waist when he walked out of Savanna’s office.
Ever since Tyrell came into the office, Jim had been in a state of alert. Seeing that the man did not make a sound and came out embarrassingly, Jim was puzzled and walked into the office. “Mrs. Cassel, what did Tyrell tell you?”
Savanna flipped open the folder. “He wants to take Mandel away.”
Jim said, “So he was afraid that others would see him cry.”
Jim wondered if Tyrell was faking it.
Jim asked warily, “Mrs. Cassel, is he pretending?”
Savanna said, “It doesn’t matter if he is pretending or not. It is a good thing that he is willing to raise Mandel. Tyrell is the biological father of the child anyway. No matter how well we do, we can never replace this kinship.”
Savanna was afraid that when Mandel grew up in the future, he would blame her. Therefore, just now, after seriously thinking about it, Savanna decided to let go and agreed with Tyrell to pick up the child.
