Bodyguard: “All three of the ladies are down—I glanced over and saw there’s a hole in the window!”
“What? Is Sienna still in there?” Whitney’s face changed as she rushed inside.
Sure enough, three sturdy middle-aged women were sprawled on the floor. One was moaning, another had blood running down her forehead, and the third was completely knocked out cold.
“What the hell happened here?”
Another bodyguard quickly helped up the one woman who was still somewhat conscious.
Standing over her, Whitney demanded, “Where’s the girl you were supposed to be watching? Did she do this to you?”
“Oh, Miss, that girl is vicious! She nearly killed all three of us trying to get out! She cried and screamed half the night, but Felix told us not to be too rough, so we just tied her up and tried to keep her calm.
Later, she passed out. We figured she had an asthma attack, so we loosened her restraints to check on her. Next thing I know, she’s clawing at my sister’s eyes! Then she hit me in the head with a brick.
Neither of us could get up, and then she knocked the third one out and climbed out the window!”
The woman wiped the blood from her cheek, pointing shakily at the shattered window.
Whitney looked over.
The bodyguard had already checked it out. He leaned back in from outside, reporting, “This window’s low enough to climb out easily. That was a mistake. Outside leads right to the street.”
Whitney’s eyes went icy cold. “When did she get out? The blood’s still wet—why didn’t you call Felix?”
“Miss, it was about two hours ago…” The woman ducked her head, guilt all over her face. “Honestly, all three of us couldn’t handle one wild cat like her. We were scared Felix would be furious. Plus, we were in no shape to even get up, let alone call anyone.”
Whitney ignored their excuses.
Felix had put these women in charge of Sienna, never imagining she’d fight back this hard.
