Inside the magnolia garden, things weren’t going well for Yorick. He quickly

found himself cornered.

For his second move, Gwain unleashed Ethereal Slash. His sword glowed with

a golden light, creating breathtaking arcs in the air.

Wyatt and Hank couldn’t help but admire Gwain. It was impressive that he

had reached a level beyond that of a grandmaster before even turning thirty

-his talent was remarkable.

However, Yorick shockingly struck Gwain’s wrist just as he swung the sword.

Gwain let out a scream of pain as his sword slipped from his grip, spinning

back and entrenching itself into a nearby tree.

“How is this even possible?” Wyatt and Hank stared in disbelief. They thought,

He just took down a spotless move with ease, and this is only the second

round!

In an instant, Yorick grabbed Gwain by the throat with one hand.

“Please! Don’t hurt Mr. Gwain!” Wyatt and Hank shouted as they hurried

forward, but one glare from Yorick was enough to send them back down.

They knew they were no match for Gwain, let alone this guy.

“Hmph! A real man can face death but not humiliation. Just finish me!” Before

Yorick could respond, Gwain shouted through clenched teeth, despair shining

in his eyes.

Growing up in the Lannister family, he’d been given the best martial arts

training since childhood. Thanks to his exceptional talent, he always outshone

the other Lannisters.

At fifteen, he was celebrated as Zovince’s top martial arts prodigy. By

twenty–five, he was recognized as one of the best fighters in the country,

alongside the renowned Northern Region War God.

With all that acclaim and success, he had never faced failure. Yet now,

tasked with finding the Dragon Tome, he had faced one setback after

another, forcing him to confront his own vulnerabilities and shattering his

self–esteem.

stir among everyone he passed.

Then, a stunning lady appeared before him and greeted, “Mr. Gwain!”

He jolted and turned to see who it was. It was the lady from the Fletcher

family gathering, still veiled but with eyes that sparkled like stars. It was Yund

Tanner, one of Zovince’s Four Beauties.

“Mr. Gwain, what brings you here? Are you here for Aunt Isabella’s opera?”

Yuna asked, her eyes brimming with excitement and admiration.

Rumors had long circulated in Zovince that they were the ultimate dream

couple–one of the Zovince’s Four Geniuses and one of the Four Beauties.

“I… Yeah!” Gwain stammered, feeling embarrassed under her gaze. He didn’t

know how to define their relationship, but he wanted to hide after she caught

him in such a sorry state.

Just then, Yuna took his hand and asked with concern, “Mr. Gwain, have you

run into trouble? Talk to me; maybe I can help.”
