Chapter 1961
With just a little energy infused, Ewald’s organs would begin functioning
again.
To modern medicine, this would seem utterly impossible, but to the
practitioners of the Divine Valley Medical Arts, it was no big deal, provided the
healer had sufficient inner strength. Emmanuel didn’t need to transfer much
energy–just enough to give Ewald Toma an additional year or two of life.
The Toma family watched in awe. Even though they weren’t well–versed in
medicine, seeing the faint wisps of smoke rising from the silver needles
made it clear just how miraculous Emmanuel’s skills were.
Suddenly, Ewald’s eyes snapped open, and to everyone’s shock, he sat
upright in bed. Cezar and Carmen both jumped in surprise.
W–What’s happening?”
“Is this… Is this real?”
Some of the women in the room stammered as if they’d just seen a ghost.
Moments ago, Ewald had been at death’s door, but now he was sitting up,
fully conscious.

“Am I alive, or is this the afterlife?” Ewald himself couldn’t believe it. He looked
at his hands, feeling the strength returning to his body. It was as if he’d been
transported back to when he was 60.
“Father, this is amazing! You’re alive!”
“Grandpa!”
Sonia and Denis rushed forward, dropping to their knees beside the bed in
sheer relief and joy.
Denis, through tears, explained, “Sonia found a miracle doctor to save you!”
“What? I’m really alive?” Ewald’s voice quivered with excitement, and he, too,
could hardly believe it.
Chapter 1961 A Life Restored

The rest of the family stood speechless, unable to deny what had just
transpired before their eyes.
“Old Mr. Toma, my name is Emmanuel Low, the son–in–law of the Quillen
family of Nuthana. I need to discuss something with you, so I can’t let you
die
just yet,” Emmanuel stated plainly.
“Sorry?” Ewald blinked in surprise.
Everyone else in the room was equally astonished. So, this is the
Grandmaster of Nuthana we’ve heard about–no wonder his skills are so
Ewald to emerge from his room. Shane, of course, sat close by, occasionally sneaking glances at Sonia, who kept her head down, saying nothing. She
didn’t respond to Shane’s advances, but she didn’t seem angry either.
After some time, Ewald finally appeared in the reception hall. Thanks to
Emmanuel’s intervention, Jake Fletcher was also allowed in. The sight of
Ewald, now looking healthier than ever, left Jake just as shocked as the rest of
the Toma family.
“Old Mr. Toma, seeing you alive lifts a huge weight off my shoulders!” Jake exclaimed, his excitement plain to see. “I’m sure you’ve all now witnessed Mr.
Lowe’s skill. The Fletcher family has already decided to ally with the Quillen
family, and with Mr. Lowe’s help, we will take down Teddy Tanner. We can’t
allow the Quill family to continue lording over us!”
His words sent a ripple of shock through the Toma family members. As Jake pointed out, their situation was much like that of the Fletchers. The family was divided into two factions, and up until now, they hadn’t known Emmanuel
leaving them hesitant. But after what they had witnessed, their
indecision began to melt away.
Denis was the first to step forward in support, turning to Ewald and saying,
“Father, I agree with Jake. We should ally with the Fletcher family and support
Mr. Lowe in taking down Teddy Tanner. If we let him stay in power any longer,
our family might not survive.”
