Love at the Wrong Table (Emmanuel Lowe and Mackenzie) novel Chapter 1873

Chapter 1873 The Final Stand

Shoiya upheld the samurai code, valuing honor and bravery above all. Being

labeled a coward was the greatest disgrace!

Although Xan couldn’t defeat the double–S class fugitive warrior, his ninja

skills allowed him to hide in this ideal environment for minutes on end without

issue. If he wanted to survive, he could just leave the room and wait for Rhett

to rescue him! But that would be a lifetime of shame for him!

His Taoist heart will be destroyed, and his future advancement will

undoubtedly halt!

“Paul, listen up!” Xan’s voice thundered through the darkness, his warrior pride

burning fiercely. “My next move will be my ultimate technique. I’ll destroy you and the equipment behind you, turning everything into dust!”

“Oh? Is that so? Then, come at me!” Paul replied, raising his sword with a smirk.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Before he finished speaking, three figures descended from above, aiming to

land on Paul’s head.

Paul sneered as he slashed with his sword, cutting through the illusions. Yet,

they were merely phantoms! The blade sliced through nothing.

“A feint?”

Paul remained unfazed. In terms of sword speed, he had only ever been

outmatched by one person–a peak master known as Yorick. Aside from that,

he had never lost to anyone. No matter how many feints the ninja in front of

him executes, as long as his sword speed destroys the opponent and he kills

them one by one, he will not fail!

However, his eyes widened in shock–he had been tricked!

As the phantoms vanished, three detonator talismans appeared on the

ground!

Others might not know the power of these symbols, but Paul, being from

Shoiya, was well aware. The detonator talisman worked by using qi to trigger

runes. Although he didn’t fully understand the principles behind them, he

knew that cutting the runes in advance would render the explosives useless.

But before he could react, three more phantoms landed–then another three!

Paul hadn’t yet grasped the enemy’s intentions when he saw the runes

inscribed on the symbols.

The remaining coalition forces in the western area, who had been

disheartened, finally showed a glimmer of hope.

Rhett was in a dire state. The injury from fighting Emmanuel and the injuries

sustained in battle with Liana made even sitting on a horse painful!

In this scenario, he lacked the courage to confront any SS–level specialist.

Seeing the optimistic look on the coalition troops‘ faces, he persisted and

asked, “What’s going on? The walls of this base haven’t been breached yet?”

“We can’t break through!”

“Only Xan made it inside!”

“Time is running out, and we don’t know how he’s doing!”

The coalition soldiers responded.

Only Falcon, one of the Three Titans of Ophanim Clan, noticed Rhett’s

deteriorating condition and quickly advised, “Rhett, don’t push yourself too

hard! If you die here, what’s the point of fighting for freedom?”
