Life at The Top novel Chapter 2230

On the desolate desert was a speeding convoy.

Jasper glanced at the familiar yellow sand outside the window and asked helplessly, “Are we not at Bashra yet?”

As soon as he finished speaking, Julian pointed forward and said, “We’re here, Jasper. Look…”

Looking forward in the direction of Julian’s finger, Jasper did see a city rising from the plain. Even if it was just outside the city, it was still much more prosperous than Najaf.

Jasper also said with a smile on his face, “Is this Bashra? Not bad. No wonder so many people gather here.”

Jasper knew that not only Saul was in Bashra, but Baltimore Kurt and his family were also here.

If this place were not rich in oil resources, how could it accommodate a big shot like Baltimore?

Jasper was somewhat worried when he entered the city. After all, he had also heard about the riots at Bashra Airport. Fortunately, the group was able to enter the city smoothly in the end, and Jasper realized this place was not affected by the riot at the airport.

Jasper immediately called Saul.

“Mr. Jefferson, I just entered Bashra, how can I find you?”

Saul seemed delighted to receive Jasper’s call. “Just stay at the gate of the city. I’ll arrange for someone to pick you up right away!”

About ten minutes later, Jasper saw a black Benz coming in front of him.

“Are you Mr. Jasper Laine?”

“Yes, you are…”

“You should be Mr. Jasper Laine, whom Rowan often mentions, right? How young and promising!”

Jasper immediately responded with a smile, “Mr. Jefferson, you are too kind. From the looks of it, do you own this hotel?”

Saul looked very humble at this moment.

He slightly waved his hand and said, “That’s right. I gained some small fame here. Since I came here early, I’ve accumulated some wealth over the years. It’s nothing much… Let’s not talk about this for now. Come, I will take you to the next door to give you a proper welcome.”

Saul brought Jasper and Julian to the nearby restaurant, and Jasper saw that the other party had prepared a table full of good wine and food. Both sides were straightforward, so Jasper and the others sat down and started chatting while eating.

After chatting with Saul, Jasper finally understood what Saul meant by accumulating a little wealth.
