Life at The Top novel Chapter 2152

In the morning, Jasper got another call from Celine on the way after he left Rowan’s place.

“The Laws’ banquet is over. Didn’t you say that you will return to Swallow Capital as soon as it’s finished? Coincidentally, I have nothing to do here. When are you leaving? Do you want to leave together?”

Jasper thought for a while and replied, “If you‘re ready, let’s leave this afternoon.”

Celine was delighted. “Okay, then I’ll buy a ticket now.”

After hanging up the phone, Jasper returned to the Hilton Hotel, simply packed his luggage, and rushed to the airport with Julian.

While Jasper was returning to Swallow Capital, Half the Harbor Langdon met Sawyer, Kennedy, and others at his home in the United States.

Sawyer and his son arrived in a hurry.

When they saw Half the Harbor Langdon in high spirits, they could not help asking curiously, “Do you have any good news to announce since you called us here in the middle of the night?”

Half the Harbor Langdon turned to Kennedy and said with a grin, “That‘s right! The next thing I’ll say is probably the best news we’ve heard in a while!”

“Oh? What is it?”

“Joe, stop the suspense. Spit it out and let us be happy with you,” Sawyer asked curiously.

After the father and son sat down, Half the Harbor Langdon told the whole story.

“Did you not pay attention to the situation in Somerland?”

“I see! I was wondering why the Morgans and Rothschilds didn’t do anything when we first asked them for help. It turns out that they are in big trouble right now!”

Sawyer said this with a hint of schadenfreude, and then he was acutely aware of something.

“Although this crisis was mainly triggered by the Layman brothers and also broke out in the United States, it has directly affected the development of the global economy. If I’m right, the real economy in Somerland must be in trouble right now. And on top of that, there’s also a dramatic increase in instability on all fronts…”

Speaking of this, Sawyer suddenly sounded a little excited.

Glancing at Half the Harbor Langdon and Kennedy, he said, “If that’s the case, perhaps we can take the opportunity to regain lost ground and return to Somerland amid the current global economic turmoil!”
