Life at The Top novel Chapter 2146

“Jasper, Miss Maynard, you must eat a lot and have a lot of fun today. Don’t go back, just stay the night.”

Jasper accepted Old Master Law’s proposal. He nodded and replied, “Of course, Old Master Law… Anna and Henry are still there, so I’ll find them first.”

After saying goodbye to Old Master Law, he took Celine out of the hall.

Today, there were many important people with status and authority in the Law Manor. These people all knew Jasper. So, after Jasper interacted with them, the party ended.

Jasper was so tired that his back was sore. Eventually, Anna could not stand it anymore, so she made an excuse and asked him for help. Then, she dragged him into her room.

Jasper was exhausted today. He had been talking all day long, and his throat was dry. After entering Anna’s room, a faint scent of tulips invaded his nostrils. A burst of fragrance immediately dissipated the tiredness on his body.

This was the first time Jasper entered Anna’s room, which was different from Wendy’s.

Anna’s room was decorated in a gothic style, which, to put it bluntly, was very westernized. Many of her decorations and styles were very Western.

Jasper sat down directly on the sofa in the room. He was so tired he was sprawled out on his back.

“I just found out today that there is no place for me to rest in this giant house, and I have to hide in a lady’s room.”

Jasper smiled, “The United States detained Mr. Boyle’s granddaughter because of the rapid rise of Somerland in recent years, which has made them feel threatened. So detaining Mr. Boyle’s granddaughter is not a big deal. Their real purpose is to make an example of her to frighten others and to regain their global prestige. But don’t forget, the domestic economy in the United States is abysmal right now, and soon they will be looking to Somerland.”

Anna’s jaw dropped open in surprise when she heard that. “Are you saying you want to negotiate with them be buying up their national debt?”

Jasper nodded and replied calmly, “The United States system won’t collapse so soon anyway. Somerland will have to buy their national debt eventually. If that’s the case, why not use this chance to ask them to release Mr. Boyle’s granddaughter?”

Anna pondered for a while. Then, she showed a surprised grin. “Jasper, you’re so smart! Why didn’t I think of this?”
