Life at The Top novel Chapter 1525

“What does the Laine mean?”

Lord Alvarado scolded.

The little prince stood by one side and said flatly, “Follow the instructions from Naurits City.”

The trader carefully glanced at Lord Alvarado’s face. He hesitated for a while, then turned his head and went to work.

At this moment, the two had walked to the trading hall from the office, but in order to not affect the work of the team, they stood in the corner of the hall.

“Royal, do you know we have to spend at least one-third of our funds to fight with Quantum Fund after what Jasper said?” Lord Alvarado said coldly.

“Yes.”

The little prince nodded and added, “One-third is not that much, it is very likely that we will lose two-fifths.”

“This is not the way to do this.” Lord Alvarado said unhappily.

“Part of the main funds from Nauritus City has also moved here, which proves that at least Jasper is determined to defeat Quantum Fund‘s counterattack and he’s not targeting you and me,” the little prince said lightly.

“He’s just playing along according to the conditions,” Lord Alvarado sneered.

“I know that he was very pissed when we first proposed to take back control of the funds, but he just didn’t say anything. Now he finally came up with the means to exact his revenge.”

“I don’t think so.”

“Yes, Jasper dares not betray us, but who knows if he will take this opportunity to weaken our influence? This is an upright conspiracy, and it will only benefit him. So why won’t he do it?”

“I don’t care how his character is, since there is a possibility that this is the case, I must respond.”

While listening to Lord Alvarado‘s words, the little prince replied lightly, “A long time ago, we approached the crippled Brown to discuss the three families working together to apply for the Olympic venues. The crippled Brown refused even before we met. Do you remember this?”

When the little prince suddenly mentioned such an unrelated incident, Lord Alvarado became a little annoyed, but he still entertained him. “I do. How could I forget? The crippled Brown is such a poser.”

The little prince looked at Lord Alvarado pensively and said, “He rejected us at the time because he said the three of us are not suitable for cooperation, and he said he’d cooperate with anyone except for us.”

“At the time, I also thought he was being a poser. Now it seems that the crippled Brown is smarter than both you and I.”
