Let Me Go Ex (Emma and Braydon) novel Chapter 22

Chapter 22

After a moment of noise, Waylon’s cautious voice came through: “Have you really let him go?”

As soon as the sentence was uttered, Braydon in the hospital bed instantly tensed his body and held his breath, afraid that he might have missed a word.

Soon, Emma’s firm and resolute voice fell into Braydon’s ears: “Yes.”

The word “is” was like a bolt from the blue, causing Braydon’s blood to freeze in an instant. His fingers unconsciously clenched the sheets, knuckles turning white. His body felt as if it were nailed to the hospital bed, unable to move an inch.

His mind went blank, all thoughts were instantly stripped away, as if the whole world collapsed in that moment.

The increasing ringing in his cars made it difficult for him to hear Emma’s next words.

Actually, it didn’t matter if he listened or not, after all, this one word had already told him her answer.

She really let him go.

This also meant that she no longer loved him and would not turn back for him again.

Braydon’s affection this month was all self–centered.

But the recorder kept playing her words.

“Over the years, I have loved him, complained about him, and even harbored hatred towards him, but all of these feelings have faded with time. Not seeing him again, not bothering him anymore, is the best outcome. After all, we are now just strangers.”

Emma spoke at length in a very calm manner, her tone filled with acceptance.

Let it go.

“Heh…”

After a long time, Braydon finally reacted.

Many things he wanted to say in his heart all turned into this bitter smile.

Waylon looked at Braydon’s expression and knew that he would not go looking for Emma again in the future.

So Waylon quietly got up, closed the door, and left.
