"No, miss. Mr. Noah’s in the rear garden." After a pause, the helper added, "Ms. Zoelle is with him."

Chloe frowned. "When did she get here?"

"About an hour ago. She just visited the wing. I think they're discussing something right now."

“Okay. Thank you."

Chloe went to her bedroom balcony and looked down. She could see the whole rear garden from there, but it was hard to hear any conversation because of the height.

Zoelle threw some herbs onto the round table and gave Noah some instructions.

"Okay, I'll have the helpers deal with it."

Zoelle then sighed absent-mindedly and unhappily.

Noah poured her a cup of hot tea. "What's wrong? Can't get used to life here in Docwood?"

"No, I travel all year round, so I can adapt easily."

"Why did you sigh then?"

"This is the first time any man has turned me down. I’ve failed to capture Joseph's heart." Zoelle felt upset, defeated, and reluctant. "He remains loyal to his wife. What does she look like? Do you know? Can you show me a picture of her?"

Noah paused, then turned to stare at her. "He has an ex-wife, not a wife. He’s just deluding himself."

"Do you know her? Show me."

"It's unnecessary. Do you like him?"

"Of course not." Zoelle waved nonchalantly. It was true that she had no feelings for him. She just could not accept that he had refused her. She had met many handsome men, so she was not easily dazzled.

She decided to stop dwelling on the matter. She picked up a grape and bit into it, savoring its taste. "Your major in college was psychology, right?"

"Yeah."

Chloe observed them for a while before closing the blinds. She had to think. She wondered if she should make things clear to Noah now or wait until she gained concrete evidence. As she lay in bed and stared at the ceiling thoughtfully, someone knocked on her door.

"Coco, are you home?"

It was Noah.

Chloe sat up. After the initial shock, she calmed down and said, "Yes, I'm here. Give me a minute."

When she opened the door, Noah came in with a plate of grapes, beaming at her. "These were shipped in from abroad today. Have some. I know you like these particular grapes."

Chloe chewed on her lip. "Okay."

Feeling a little aggrieved, Noah asked, "Are you feeling unwell? You didn't come to see me when you got home."
