Chapter 3867: Glyph! IV

The Nullvein Gravewake Folds stirred with unrest.

WAP!

A crack, subtle but precise, echoed as though space itself had torn at the seam. A ripple of paradox unraveled across the gray-black weavings of the Gravewake Folds, and from the rent in reality, a single figure emerged.

A young woman.

Tears traced lines down her cheeks, trailing across skin tinted caramel by warmth long lost. Her dark hair shimmered with a sheen of black starlight, and yet her posture held no fragility. Her form was steady, spine straight with quiet resolve as the echo of her voice broke into the Folds.

"Noah Osmont."

It was barely a whisper. But it carried through the abyss like a prayer.

Her hands curled tightly into fists. Her eyes closed not in defeat and instead in concentration. She wasn’t here for mourning. She would not mourn because her father was very much allive.. She was here to find him.

Him. Noah Osmont! Through the threads of what her father gave her, through the Living Seed of Existence... she would reach him.

But as her consciousness turned inward, a deep vibration surged across the fabric of the Folds.

HUUM!

The vibrations became a drumming pulse. A wave of burning light swept across the tangled Gravewake. Her eyes shot open in horror as she felt the pressure behind the light- familiar from the memories she was gifted.

Memories of a Living Origin that had appeared before Altheon who was now at the center of an Inevitability!

Memories of...

Altheon!

HUUM!

Her expression became one of resigned and hateful horror.

The white light tore open the Folds like paper. It was pure, structured, and unyielding. It rejected paradox, repressed instability. It was the authority of a Being who stood above the chaos, who considered all else as lesser.

"No..." Liora’s voice trembled, but her feet held steady. "Not now! Not after all that!"

She hadn’t anticipated this. Her father hadn’t anticipated this. She was supposed to find Noah first.

But existence rarely aligned with hope. Often, it twisted it.

When had things worked out the way one wanted them to just because they wished hard enough?

No. Existence was often...disappointing.

A shadow loomed- no, a hand. A hand too large to belong to a man, stretching out with fingers longer than Omniversal systems. A hand that could cup an entire Wheel of Existence and crush it without effort.

It reached for her.

Altheon had not yet arrived fully, but his influence was already warping the region. The light curved, collapsing reality inward. The folds screamed as temporal compression wrapped around the moment.

Liora braced.

And then...

BOOM!

A golden brilliance collapsed the scene around her.

It did not scream and nor did not roar. It simply appeared- an illusory hand of resplendent gold, interwoven with faint traces of paradox, time, and spiritual threading.

It plucked Liora from the Folds as if she were a petal in a storm.

And she vanished.

...!

Not displaced. Not moved.

Gone. As if she had never been there at all.

Altheon arrived half a breath later, his vast form coalescing into the Fold with celestial fury. Where his hand grasped... there was only emptiness!

HUUUM!

His senses searched, and he found nothing.

Except a lingering shimmer of gold, a whisper of unfamiliar power.

Living Temporal Authority.

A flicker of Paradoxical and Spiritual weavings interlaced into it.

His expression darkened. He roared with a soundless authority that shattered nearby cradlings of space. The light of his body swelled in madness.

He sensed it. A brief flash of complexity!

How could something so feeble- so pitiful in its complexity- outmaneuver him?

"What is in these Folds?!"
