The fire never stopped.
Crimson-gold fireballs poured from Noah’s outstretched hand, endless and unyielding as the sensation was utterly euphoric for him.
Others enjoyed sports. Others had hobbies for cooking or cleaning or copulating. But...man did he love spamming!
HUUM!
Like stars torn from a burning sky, they arced upward in a brilliant stream, each orb forged from condensed Living Origin Authority, each one glowing with the tyrannical weight of origin.
And the Imitation Mutated Inevitability devoured them all.
Its wriggling mass twisted in gluttonous euphoria. Wings sprouted. Veins bloated with radiant complexity. Its eyes- dozens of them- widened with need, with madness. Each moment, it grew larger, heavier, more unstable.
HUUM!
Noah hovered mid-air before the abomination, his expression tyrannical and magisterial. The torrent of fire from his hand remained constant, a beam of golden suns feeding a thing that only knew how to consume.
Below him, Sigrid stood firm, her breathing calm but heavy. Master Shen flanked her, his brow furrowed as the enormity of the scene settled in.
Then it happened.
The Inevitability screamed.
Its screech carved jagged waves into the air.
From within its undulating mass, a final, frenzied assault burst forth, with hundreds of spear-like tendrils wreathed in devouring laws and unstable resonance erupting!
The skies cracked.
Tentacles rained like blades.
Master Shen gritted his teeth as a luminous shield of emerald runes bloomed around him. His figure blurred, invoking a unique defensive art. It shimmered with ancient wisdom, roots and branches twisting into defensive rings.
Sigrid stood beside him, expression firm. Her eyes narrowed as her Archetype pulsed.
She raised both arms slowly.
"[Sanctuary of Blooming Oath]."
A crown of white-gold petals circled her head. Runes spun around her frame as a translucent domain bloomed outward- a sanctuary of celestial grace. Not only did it defend, it strengthened. A sacred aura wrapped around Shen and Noah alike, accelerating their regeneration, stabilizing their flow.
Still, it wasn’t enough.
A few tendrils punched through.
One tore across Noah’s side. Another cut shallow through Sigrid’s shoulder. Shen’s forearm bled freely.
They didn’t cry out as the damage was minimal.
One was an Originus Venerant, and the other was a ridiculous woman with even more ridiculous origins.
Both didn’t falter.
Shen coughed and shook his head, glancing sideways with shining eyes. "I still can’t begin to understand... how you’re releasing this much Origin Authority."
"..."
A question related to the spamming.
A question that Noah did not answer as he focused at what was ahead.
Sigrid lifted another Flower of Origin, petals unfurling around them once more as a healing wave of pale light swept outward. Their wounds sealed in silence. Their breaths steadied.
And then...
BZZZT.
The Inevitability pulsed.
Its body had grown grotesque- bloated beyond natural function. Its wings twitched. Its eyes flickered wildly. Complexity churned in its core with unstable rhythm.
It had eaten too much.
It didn’t stop.
Noah rose toward it, hovering at eye level with the beast.
Still he fed it!
Fireballs surged from his palm like the wrath of a celestial elemental.
His voice rang out, calm and detached. "Eat. Eat all of it."
The Inevitability screamed again, but it didn’t resist. It couldn’t.
It was bound by its own nature.
It consumed.
It swallowed.
It overfed.
Noah gazed at it coldly, his dark hair dancing like a mad tyrant as he bellowed out!
"EAT!"
HUUUM!
Endless consumption continued!
And then...
WAP!
It stopped moving.
The mass began to quiver. Its insides twisted in on themselves. Runes blinked and died. Wings spasmed without control.
The Inevitability had everything.
It had fed on endless waves of Mana turned into Living Origin Authority!
It was full.
Too full to the extent that...
BOOM!
It exploded.
Not in gore.
But in release.
The power it had stolen- the Origin Authority, the fireballs, the blessings of sacred combat- all of it came roaring out in a hellish, blinding storm.
