Under the cold gaze of the man, Jayden, feeling the pressure, tightened his fists and took a step forward, walking up to James.
"Mr. Evans called for me, is it to seek revenge for Paul?"
The gaze beneath James' long and thick eyelashes was filled with a penetrating power that could pierce one's heart.
"It's not about revenge, I just want to ask Jayden how he intends to resolve the matter of intentionally provoking Paul."
James' deep and piercing gaze was filled with strong aggression.
Jayden couldn't sustain a prolonged gaze with such eyes, and after only a few seconds, he instinctively averted his gaze.
"Is it necessary for Mr. Evans to intervene in such a small matter?"
Jayden felt uneasy inside, but he maintained a nonchalant expression on his face.
He knew very well that he was Eva's boyfriend, so no matter what he did to Paul, James wouldn't lay a hand on him.
Taking into account Amelia, he would give Eva a bit of leeway, allowing him to speak provocatively.
James seemed to be able to see through his thoughts, as his thick eyelashes fluttered slightly, and a disdainful smile appeared in his beautiful eyes.
"I've always taken care of his matters since he was young. Any objections?"
"I dare not."
Jayden shook his head, while also revealing a contemptuous smile.
"Having a good big brother is nice."
But Jayden was not convinced...
"Mr. Evans, if it were Ryan who kept pursuing your wife to reconcile, what would you do?"
Stella and Andrew, who were waiting nearby, looked at each other after hearing this, thinking that Jayden was too audacious to dare to bring up Ryan.
That young man was Amelia's first love, someone she had relied on for many years, and a taboo in James' heart. He was an insurmountable obstacle in this lifetime.
As Eva's boyfriend, Jayden should be aware of these things.
Even if he wasn't aware, he should have noticed when Eva took him to meet Ryan, right?
Did he really think Mr. Evans would spare him because of Eva and not lay a hand on him, just like with Ryan?
