Yanis and Anika walked to the dining room. Looking at the dishes on the table, Yanis inexplicably wanted to laugh.
Potato shreds looked like potato sticks.
Other dishes were barely recognizable.
"How about it? Isn't Zane talented? " Anika stood beside Yanis, looked at the dishes on the table, and asked Yanis.
Yanis pulled out the chair and sat down without changing her face, "Yes."
Anika followed Yanis and sat down at the dining table, then looked up at Zane who was serving the dishes in the kitchen and whispered, "He can only cook noodles. He has been studying these dishes all afternoon today, and he had dumped the failed dishes secretly."
Yanis had a mixed feelings hearing so.
"Yanis, this his first-time cooking. Can you say something nice?"
Yanis met Anika's expectant eyes, hesitated for a few seconds, and then agreed.
There were four dishes and a soup in total.
They tasted okay although they looked terrible.
Zane watched her swallow the food, waiting for her comments.
Yanis felt Zane's gaze. After taking a few bites, she commented lightly, "Not bad."
Hearing what Yanis said, Zane's face changed obviously. He took the initiative to serve food to Yanis.
Seeing the dishes that Zane put into her bowl, Yanis looked up at him but didn't say anything.
When Yanis tried the fourth dish, she couldn't help but frown. She forced herself to swallow.
She wanted to suppress nausea with rice, but it went stronger.
Yanis put down the spoon and rushed into the bathroom.
After closing the door, she vomited everything she had just eaten.
She couldn't stop throwing up.
After retching for a long time, Yanis felt a little better.
There was a knock on the bathroom door. Zane asked, "Yanis?"
Yanis stood up, washed her face, and rinsed her mouth before opening the door.
"Are you sick?"
Yanis didn't meet his eyes, but said lightly, "Maybe I ate too much random stuff with Bonnie during this time. My stomach is acting up."
"I'll ask Albi to send some food over."
Yanis shook her head, "No, go back and eat with Anika, I'll take a rest."
Yanis turned and went back to the bedroom.
She still wanted to vomit, but compared to just now, she felt better.
Zane stood there watching Yanis enter the bedroom, then sent Albi a message, asking him to buy some porridge and deliver it.
"Zane, is Yanis okay?"
Hearing Anika's words, Zane put away his phone, "Stop eating, I've asked Albi to bring some food."
Anika shook her head, "No, I like it."
After speaking, Anika looked up at Zane, "Did Yanis vomit because of the food you cooked?"
"Her stomach is acting up."
Anika snorted, "Then I'll wait for the food too. "
Zane didn't speak. He dumped the food into the trash can.
Anika sat at the dining table, "Zane, what about asking Sophia to come over to cook every day?"
"What's wrong?"
Yanis shook her head, put the bowl back on the bedside table, got up, and walked into the bathroom barefoot.
She spit out all the porridge she just ate.
When Yanis couldn't spit out anything, she leaned against the wall weakly.
It took too long to vomit, which made Yanis feel exhausted.
Just when she was about to wash her face, she saw the person standing at the door, Yanis froze, and then turned on the faucet as if nothing had happened, "I'll go buy some medicine tomorrow."
Yanis said while washing her hands.
When Yanis met Zane's gaze just now, Yanis felt guilty for a moment.
She felt her secret had been found, which made her uneasy.
Zane just stood at the door, looked at her, and didn't answer or say anything.
It wasn't until Yanis finished washing her hands and rinsing her mouth that Zane stretched out and pulled her out.
After that, he took a coat from a closet, turned around, and put it on Yanis, "Put it on."
Yanis looked at him in astonishment, "What are you doing?"
"I'll take you to the hospital."
When Yanis heard this, she instinctively resisted, raised her hand, and took off the coat. "No, I'll find some medicine later and it will be fine."
"Yanis!" Zane called out.
Yanis pursed her lower lip and looked at Zane, "Mr. Lawrence, I know my own body well. Don't bother..."
Zane didn't give her a chance to finish her sentence. He reached out to take the jacket Yanis was holding and put it on her. "Don't force me to force you."
