Soon after, an elderly woman with a slightly plump figure and a warm, beaming smile stepped out. "Ms. Yates… Is that Tess?"
Tessa froze for a moment. "Ma'am, do you know me?"
The old woman approached her, her cloudy eyes brimming with emotion. "Tess, you've grown so tall. Time flies."
Tessa's mouth opened slightly, unsure of how to respond.
Stephen spoke at just the right moment. "I learned my cooking skills here."
Tessa glanced at him, puzzled.
Stephen explained, "This is Helen Wilson. She used to be the Somerton family's housekeeper, and Madam Somerton learned to cook from her."
Helen looked at Tessa, her joy overflowing into tears. "It really is you, Tess. Your eyes look just like your mother's. Tess, I even held you in my arms when you were little."
Hearing Helen mention her mother, Tessa's eyes instantly glistened with tears. "Yes, it's me, Tess. Mrs. Wilson, I came to visit you."
"Come in and sit," Helen said, ushering them warmly.
She then turned to the man standing nearby. "Billy, go to town and buy some groceries. Get the best ingredients. I'll cook for Mr. Jacobson and Tess."
"Got it!" The man, called Billy, replied cheerfully before hopping on a motorcycle and heading off.
Helen held Tessa's hand and began reminiscing, sharing many stories about Tyla's younger years.
From these stories, Tessa learned that her mother had taken up cooking to win over Samuel.
Her mother, a delicate and refined heiress unaccustomed to kitchen work, had learned to cook for the man she loved.
Tessa felt a mix of emotions.
As a child, she remembered her parents being deeply in love. Even after her mother passed away, her father had fallen into depression for quite some time.
If he loved her so deeply, why did he remarry just two years after her mother's death? And why did it have to be her mother's close friend?

The readers' comments on the novel: His Unveiled Passion
Why make an uninteresting, irrelevant twist when readers are waiting for Tess and Stephen to be together?...
Gosh just let Tessa and Stephen get back together already! Ugh...
Oh my god, when is this book finishing... they're not even back together yet and more nonsense side plots.....
Whoa! Hahahahahaha! Go, Sophia! Burn, stupid Rowena! Lol...
Sooo~ Chapters 310-318 were just a repeat of Jacqueline’s punishment, official expulsion from the Jacobson family, and arrest. With few changes since Tessa and Stephen are not together this time. So Tessa didn’t witness how Jacqueline was tortured at Stephen’s base, though at least Tessa was still called over and witnessed how Stephen officially expelled Jacqueline from the Jacobson family and how Stephen’s subordinate made Jacqueline grovel in front of Tessa. Lol. I hope Jacqueline’s really out of the story now....
Also a lot of chapters were missing here. I went back to the application where it was originally published that’s why i know that this site is not reliable...
Fucked up book! Seems like the authors were not talking to each other. LOL. Yes authors, because of the inconsistencies....
The story went downhill after pg200 1. Why is Jacqueline back… she was expelled from the family already 2. There was no reason for Rowena to be mad at Tessa 3. The Jacobson already knows that Stephen wants to get back witb Tessa after they deal with James, so why is Rowena pushing hard? LOL 4. The family also knows that Stephen and Nancy have some sort of deal. The story was okay from page 1-199, but clearly it’s a thumbs down. I can deal with grammatical errors, but story errors is just different now....
This is funny! Jacqueline was also the culprit why James knew that nancy was Stephen's cousin. So, really, what happened when steohen tortured jacqueline hahah...
I wonder how many authors does this book have? Suddenly jacqueline was back and continue to bad mouth tessa. And was stunned that tessa knows her feelings about stephen. And then rowena was freaking mad at tessa too; because there werw multiple instances that tessa sharp-tongued her. 🤣...
