Chapter Hundred and Thirty–Four Who Is It?
Chris’s POV
17
My Luna found it hilarious that I was leaving for the cave where Logan was rumored to be because of a small demon.
I had a feeling I’d encounter more than just a small demon–but not Logan. I didn’t feel like I’d meet
Logan.
Along with me came Ray’s relative and other warriors who had been worried about a demon. I needed to show them there was no demon so they wouldn’t be afraid.
“Ray, don’t!” I stretched out my hand to block him. In case of casualties, he should stay behind.
My Beta frowned, pushing my hand away, but I brought it back up. “I said don’t come!”
“But I’m curious to see the demon too,” he protested.
“We’ll catch it and bring it back, like we planned,” I said.
發
“Yeah, only that the ‘we‘ was you and me, not you and the warriors,” he folded his arms.
I smiled at his sulky face. “Just stay. In case there’s something that needs my attention, stand in for
me.”
He knew that was just an excuse to make him stay. With a huff, he threw down his horsewhip and stormed back inside. A warrior returned his horse to the stable.
I turned to the warriors who had been watching us. “As you saw and heard, if I don’t catch that demon today, I’d be in trouble.”
