Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 971

Unfortunately by the time Shannon tracked the remains of the black smoke from the previous night, the evil master and his black smoke had long vanished.

The rental apartment was empty and left with Ziva, who was of little use for now.

Still, Shannon wasn't in a rush. She was certain that the evil master would show up again since Ziva was so eager to replace Cecily's face. All she could do was wait.

Even so, Shannon drew a sensing talisman for Ziva. Just as she pondered how she could inconspicuously place the talisman near Ziva, Peanut kicked its chubby legs and drifted toward her.

Leah had been recuperating at the Cooper residence these past two days which left Peanut feeling lonely. It knew that Leah was hurt, so it eagerly volunteered and pointed at itself. It could help too!

Shannon glanced at it and casually brushed it aside. "It's fine. I don't need your help."

The stubborn Peanut drifted back and persistently stretched its tiny hand toward her. Then, it pointed at Shannon's phone to indicate it wanted to help.

Shannon followed its gesture and blinked. A sudden idea dawned on her as she looked at Peanut. "Why didn't I think of this earlier?"

She could get Peanut to search through the network domain.

The last time Leah and Peanut had done the same thing, the results had been effective despite the rather disruptive commotion it'd caused.

But Shannon didn't like resorting to this method. It felt intrusive since the network domain was a private space for most people. Strictly speaking, using mystic arts to pry into someone's personal information was against the rules.

She mulled over it and reasoned aloud. "This is just to search for someone. It doesn't violate privacy."

Plus, Peanut was just a kid. It wouldn't understand what privacy meant anyway.

Shannon was convinced by her justification and prepared for action. As she recalled the previous incident, she added a stern reminder.

"Once you find her, only search for information related to that evil master. Don't mess with anything else, and never link her information to other networks."

Ever since Hansel and Rachel's high school bullying scandal had been exposed, public outcry against the two families had intensified.

Most of the debate was about Hansel's assault on a minor. He'd been taken into custody following Rachelle's report.

The case went to trial just yesterday. Thanks to Jensen Corporation's legal team, Hansel was sentenced to eight years in prison.

Though the Quayles intended to appeal, Rachelle felt assured when the verdict was announced.

Shannon had given her the five-million-dollar compensation fee demanded from the Grays, but she'd insisted on taking only three million along with additional reparations from the Quayles.

And now, her life was finally beginning anew.

The only thing she felt regretful of was the child.
