Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 1775

Though Scarlett had absorbed the plague-infested bloody smoke, Shannon and Thalia had cast the Plague-Banishing Decree to neutralize it.

She naturally wouldn't use it again. Instead, she'd prepared another trump card.

Black smoke surged into the deep sea almost instantly and rapidly gathered at the shattered remains of the divinity-cultivating array.

"Heed my command! Hydrath!"

As the sea floor began to tremble, Scarlett was engulfed by the water tornado. At the same time, a terrifying pressure burst forth from the ocean depths.

Benjamin, who'd been focusing on repairing his golden light within the barrier, narrowed his eyes. Even both Luke and the Stone Turtle froze mid-action.

Without hesitation, Benjamin flashed with golden light and teleported to Shannon's side to take her several yards away.

The next instant, right where Shannon had stood just moments before, a massive nine-headed serpent burst forth from the depths, baring its fangs.

As it shattered the water tornado, Scarlett, who'd been caught inside, was violently slammed back into the ocean depths.

The colossal nine-headed serpent thrashed and roared uncontrollably in the water.

From afar, Luke raised an eyebrow and asked, "What's this guy doing here?"

The Stone Turtle muttered in a deep voice. "No wonder it didn't respond to Sire's summons."

When Benjamin arrived at Sapphire Tides, his primary mission was to purify the putrefaction, but that didn't mean he'd come unprepared.

Most people couldn't see it, but both she and Benjamin could tell that the nine-headed serpent's body was evidently tainted with putrefied supernatural energy, and Scarlett's black smoke coiled around it.

Shannon recalled Thalia's warnings that Scarlett's greatest ability was to devour living beings with black smoke and transform them into her controllable puppets.

Hydrath was no ordinary creature, so Scarlett couldn't devour it, but she could control it.

Sure enough, as Shannon spoke those words, the nine-headed serpent seemed to respond. It snapped toward Shannon and Benjamin before its colossal tail whipped through the water.

Crash!

Both of them were swallowed by the raging sea.
