Perhaps unwilling to be outdone by mere juvenile demons, the other Demon Control Agency members swiftly took action to dislocate the joints of the crazed young demons.
In moments, they subdued several at once.
Meanwhile, the battle had turned into a dazzling blur in the barrier Shannon had set up.
A dozen long fox tails whipped and clashed in the confined space while the two experienced adult demons of the Demon Control Agency could barely intervene.
Though being a five-tailed fox, Bianca struggled to gain the upper hand against the crazed Caelan, especially when his tails were laced with poison.
Caelan had a rare dual-colored fox form with snow-white tails at the tips and a toxin-cyan hue at the base. His name was derived from the word "caelum", which was evoked from the whiteness of the clouds and the green of nature when viewed from above.
Now, as he poured all his supernatural strength into his attack, all four of his tails darkened into cyan.
The moment Bianca's pristine white tails made contact with his, they were immediately tainted by poison, and their luster dimmed visibly.
"Caelan, you're dead! When you snap out of this, I swear I'm cutting off every last of your toxic tails!" As she cursed, her five tails moved so fast they left afterimages in the air.
The ring had been reduced to wreckage.
Shannon wasn't one to waste words while fighting. She simply coordinated with Bianca and locked her sharp gaze onto Caelan's fourth tail, which had darkened almost to black.
She witnessed that as Bianca was occupied with an attack, the fourth tail slipped through the chaos and sneaked behind the latter for a fatal strike.
But Shannon was ready. Her fingers moved to form a mudra, and her amulet, glowing with golden light, flew into her grip.
Though her control over her supernatural powers had greatly improved, she still preferred to fight with her amulet.
As the amulet came into contact with her palm, she leaped and plunged the sword down to pin Caelan's tail firmly to the ground without hesitation.
Shannon frowned deeply. Instead of loosening her grip on the amulet, her free hand reached for the Bentrix Stone.
She knew only Benjamin's golden light could purify this putrefaction and restore Caelan's sanity, but Benjamin was caught up elsewhere.
She was well aware that Arena Two had erupted into chaos from the putrefied supernatural energy at the same time as this one.
Though Benjamin couldn't split himself between both battles, his Core Vein Stone was still with her, and it had his golden light.
As Shannon made up her mind, she yanked the Core Vein Stone from around her neck and gripped it tightly in one hand. Then, she formed a mudra with the other.
Supernatural energy surged from her fingertips and intertwined with golden light as she swiftly drew a talisman in the void.
"Gods of sky, fire, and heart; heed the call, descend with might… By my decree…"
