However, it was too late.
"Shannon!" The system let out a sharp cry, frantically flying around the perimeter.
Shannon dodged the attack aimed at her head, but her shoulder was still struck heavily. She was sent flying, crashing to the ground several meters away.
Her long hair was disheveled, and though there was no visible blood, her shoulder hung limply as she rose to her feet. It was clear that her arm had been dislocated.
Standing in her original spot, Bianca flashed a faint smile at her. "I told you I'd go easy on you."
Otherwise, Shannon would've had a bloody arm right now.
"The challenge has—"
Bianca suddenly saw an object hurling straight at her from outside the training ground. She hadn't expected it, and neither had Shannon. Upon realizing what was happening, she was stupefied.
Ignoring the pain from her shoulder, Shannon unleashed her supernatural power and quickly flew toward Bianca.
Bianca instinctively tried to swipe at the small object flying toward her with her tail, but Shannon almost instantly intercepted the attack, her four tails blocking Bianca's strike.
The collision of their supernatural powers sent a shockwave through the air, causing the onlookers from the east wing to feel a sudden pressure in their chests.
The small creature, protected by Shannon just in time, disregarded everything and suddenly slammed into Bianca's waist, charging toward her with unrelenting force.
"Benji Gold!"
Shannon's heart skipped a beat. She had no idea why it would suddenly appear.
Bianca was caught off guard as the small creature collided with her waist, but it didn't hurt; it wasn’t attacking her but rather aiming for the pouch hanging from her waist.
She focused intently on Shannon and the paper figure still trying to dart toward her and blinked. "Do you want it back?"
"Please give it back to me." Shannon's gaze never left Bianca.
The latter looked at the struggling paper figure in her hand, then at Shannon, extending her hand but suddenly withdrawing it. "No. I found it, so it's mine now."
She then flashed a sweet smile at Shannon. "Of course, if you defeat me one day, I'll gladly return it to you."
Shannon's eyes deepened. She gazed at Bianca and softened her tone. "In that case, keep your promise."
As she spoke, her supernatural power seemed to shift, and with a half-step backward, the four fox tails behind her slowly rose.
Though the supernatural energy felt the same as before, there was an unmistakable shift, as if something had changed. Shannon stated, "Let's pick up from where we left off."
