The obstacles were limited inside the classroom, as the majority of them had been cleared away by the demon instructors. Seeing the demon younglings rush out of the room, the instructors outside immediately grabbed two of them each.
Even so, the younglings still skillfully dodged their attempts to capture them, resolutely standing in front of Shannon.
Looking at the little ones, who barely reached her waist, Shannon felt an indescribable surge of emotion in her heart. This had started as her personal mission, yet somehow, they had volunteered to hop on board.
Worried that the instructors would get physical with the younglings, she quickly said, "I was just trying to fight for my rights; I didn't mean to challenge the school.
"At the end of the day, this matter is purely between us and has nothing to do with these kids!"
"They were encouraged by you to go on a strike. This has strictly gone against the school rules! It's not as simple as saying it's fine. And what rights do you want? You only have rights if the school gives them to you!"
The demon instructor, Stellan Cross, who had been contemptuous from the start, continued, "The rules at the Zaprath School of Demon Arts are the default rules for all demons. If you can't accept them, you might as well leave."
"Just because they're default doesn't mean they're right." Shannon questioned, "And if I'm not leaving and wish to pursue fairness?"
"Feel free to try."
As Stellan spoke, a demon youngling's cry abruptly pierced the air.
Another demon instructor grabbed two younglings by the scruff of their necks and, with a swift motion, kicked a half-demon youngling who tried to intervene, sending them crashing to the ground.
In reality, the faculty hadn't disciplined the younglings as they claimed, allowing for arbitrary punishment. After all, they were precious to their families, and if anything happened to them, the school would face serious consequences.
However, with such a huge commotion today, the faculty had to make an example out of a few to uphold the school's authority.
Since they couldn't touch the pure-blooded demon younglings, their target was inevitably the half-demon ones.
The half-demon youngling collapsed to the ground, his rabbit ears drooping as he instinctively curled up into a tight ball.
The other demon students in both the west and east wings had naturally heard the commotion, but except for those in the elementary classes, none attempted to stop it.
Why would they? Such a spectacle, with this kind of chaos, only happened once every few centuries. Wasn't it far more interesting than catching an evil demon and holding a ceremony of commendation?
The chaotic battle between the instructors and students only stopped when the dean of the Zaprath School of Demon Arts personally intervened. It was also at that moment Reuben arrived.
He had originally thought he would wait for Shannon's reform proposal to be sent to the Demon Control Agency after their agreement yesterday. But less than a day later, she had caused another commotion.
At least she had earned merit by capturing an evil demon last time. This time, however, she had gone as far as directly fighting with the instructors!
Even when Thalia became rebellious and refused to be disciplined, she never fought with her teachers!
It appeared the daughter had surpassed her mother.
