The three MysticApp delivery guys stared at the group of young demons and were momentarily stunned. Then as if realizing they were demons, their expressions at Shannon turned wary.
For fear of getting caught trespassing, the three quickly set down the food and disappeared.
As soon as they left, the entire class of young demons exploded in excitement and swarmed forward.
"Derek! There's so much food!"
"I saw this pastry on my phone. It's a southern delicacy, and they don't sell it in Jamborough!"
"This grilled fish smells amazing. It looks like it was just freshly cooked!"
"This is from Madam Susan's at Westside! I wanted to try it, but my family wouldn't let me and said it's human territory!"
The young demons chattered excitedly and were completely overwhelmed by the sheer variety of food.
In an instant, Shannon was completely surrounded by a crowd of demon younglings, each desperate to know where she'd ordered all this from. How could she magically get food from so many places at once?
They knew about ordering food on the phone, but as young demons, their families rarely let them interact with human society let alone order food.
In their school, the only place close enough to human territory was the west wing separated by a wall. Technically, they could order food from there, but they weren't allowed near it.
It was no wonder the young demons were so fascinated by Shannon's abilities.
Shannon had expected this reaction. She remained calm and unhurried faced with so many eager sparkling eyes. Then, she casually opened MysticApp on her phone and showed it to them.
"This is MysticApp, an app specifically designed for mystic masters, ghosts, and demons. But since there aren't many registered demons yet, it makes sense you all wouldn't know about it."
Previously, it'd been mentioned that MysticApp was used by mystic masters and the underworld, but the Demon Control Agency had always refused to cooperate. That was why MysticApp remained off-limits to demons up till now.
The fact that they could just sit and wait for food from all over to be delivered straight to them was highly tempting, not to mention the app had a special trade platform, where they could buy and sell items they wanted or didn't want.
That evening, chaos broke out in demon families everywhere. Younglings whined, begged, threw tantrums, or bombarded their families with endless chatter.
Demon clans were different from humans. Their clan structures were complex, and a single youngling didn't just have parents; they also had an entire network of relatives.
On top of that, demons had greater difficulty reproducing. The stronger the demon, the rarer their children were. That meant every young demon was greatly treasured.
That was why families took young demons' demands seriously.
After digging deeper, they discovered mystic masters and phantom cultivators of the underworld had MysticApp. So, why didn't demons have it?
The demon clan had always viewed themselves as superior to humans. Though they now coexisted peacefully, most saw themselves as above humans.
