Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 1525

Eddie kept his mouth tightly clamped the whole time and ignored the ghost's words.

Seeing him not saying a word, the ghost grew mad. "Speak!"

A surge of almost tangible negative energy rushed toward him, and Eddie shuddered. He gritted his teeth and met those cold glowing eyes with a fierce glare.

Then, he shouted back, "No! Get lost!"

He'd heard Olivia talk about her past ghost encounters. She'd said that attitude mattered when dealing with ghosts, so he put on his fiercest expression and stared the ghost down.

The ghost stiffened and was startled by his sudden defiance. After recovering from the initial shock, a menacing glint flashed in their eyes. "Are you going to lend me or not?"

"No! Leave me alone!" Eddie shouted at the top of his lungs.

The ghost snapped and lunged forward. It didn't matter if Eddie refused to lend his body; he had to because it wanted to leave this place!

Eddie felt the ghastly energy lock him in place. His mind blanked out as he instinctively reached for his protective talisman. His lips moved faster than his thoughts as he shouted, "O Fox Deity!"

As if responding to his summon, a brilliant white light flared from his chest. Then, a fox claw formed from spiritual energy burst from his body.

Neither he nor the ghost had time to react before the claw struck toward the ghost. Slap!

Just like what it'd done to Rachel's soul back at the hospital, the fox claw smacked the ghost to the ground amidst the darkness. Fennec's voice rang in the air, "Scram! For I'm Mother of Guardian!"

A shiver ran down Eddie's spine as his mind flashed back to the time at the hospital when he'd run into Rachel's ghost. He'd hidden under the covers and heard someone call themselves "Mother of Guardian".

All this time, he'd thought it was Shannon's delivery guy from MysticWeb but turned out it was her—his Fox Deity.

A blinding white light erupted before him, while his protective talisman glowed to release another wave of white light.

The two layers of light wrapped around his soul and blinded his vision before darkness took over. Then, Eddie blacked out.

Meanwhile, the grand hall's bell tolled again.

As its deep, eerie sound echoed through the vast hall, Shannon stepped forward, dragging the spiritual chain-bound Maya.

As her eyes scanned the majestic cavernous hall, she frowned slightly. The layout and architecture of the hall felt somewhat familiar.

Before she could figure it out, a complaining voice reached her ears. "Another two? How many is that today? What the hell is Skelldom up to?"
