Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 1429

Clearly, Scarlett had no regard for that anymore. "So what? I'm unlike you, who can stay in this place without spiritual energy. I want to go back."

She then turned to Shannon and the others. "With you guys as human shields, the Divine Power will deal with you instead of me.."

After all, less than a third of the power remained with her, with the majority having been absorbed by Thalia. She also didn't care whether taking that power with her and leaving the world would lead to the uncontrollable catastrophe the alternate world would face.

Thalia was aware of her intention, her face filled with fury. "Scarlett!"

Scarlett ignored her completely, instead using the black smoke to tighten around her neck. She then turned her gaze toward Shannon. It was threatening.

Shannon looked at her bound mother and then at Fennec, who was struggling to control the rampaging supernatural power.

After a while, she turned to the system and softly asked, "Is there a way… where you can transfer me your Might of the Divine Power?"

The system was caught off guard. "You have neither spiritual nor supernatural energy; your body can't handle that kind of power!"

Shannon stayed silent. It was precisely because she possessed nothing at the moment that she desperately needed the Might of the Divine Power.

Leaving Fennec to her own devices, Shannon retrieved her Bentrix Stone and presented it to Scarlett instead. "This… is the conduit to open the portal."

A strange expression flashed across Thalia's face when she saw the Bentrix Stone.

Although Scarlett knew nothing about the backstory of that stone, she sensed its unique energy and was quickly convinced. "Open the portal now!"

"I can't; I don't have any spiritual energy now." Shannon shrugged, continuing, "The other conduit to open the portal is water. If you wish to return, you have to do it yourself."

Then, she tossed the Bentrix Stone toward Scarlett, who reflexively caught it.

At that precise moment, Shannon swiftly summoned the system while forming a mudra with one hand. "Heavenly signs appear, reveal your form…"

Her feeble spiritual energy now forbade her from casting fire thunder, but the amulet, stuck with a thunder talisman, was enough to deliver a blow.

She thrust the hazelwood sword forcefully into Scarlett's body. The power of thunder cleaved through her, creating a large black hole in her form. The opening was pitch black, from which thick black smoke poured out.

Scarlett's face contorted with grotesqueness, yet she didn't suffer a heavy blow as Shannon had expected. Instead, she glared coldly at her, gritted her teeth, and uttered, "Talk about biting off more than you can chew."

The next moment, Shannon saw the gaping hole suddenly transform into a swirling mass of black smoke.

The vapor lunged at her like a phantom, and with the distance between them too short to evade, she could only watch helplessly as the black smoke pierced straight through her chest.

"Shannon!"

A shrill exclaim waltzed into her ears, yet she saw nothing but the void.
