Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 1339

"I'm at the rooftop of your campus' main building."

Shannon had surprisingly arrived. Without second thoughts, Hank went to her location, only to see that the guy from yesterday, Jordan, was present, too.

He felt inexplicably upset. The fact that Jordan was there with Shannon meant she had contacted him beforehand!

They were both students of Seastone University, so why only contact the guy she had met three days ago? Not to mention, he was her cousin!

Filled with displeasure, Hank greeted Jordan somewhat indifferently.

With just a glance, Shannon raised her brow and asked, "Saw a ghost last night?"

"How could she tell?" Hank thought.

"Yeah." He feigned calmness. "But I scared her away."

She listened to his words, her expression neutral. Not pressing him about what had happened, she calmly focused on what was before her.

It seemed like she was drawing a talismanic array on the floor.

"How do you plan to prevent the mass suicide?" Jordan was curious, asking the question that Hank similarly wondered.

He thought Shannon would get the Special Security Agency involved, knowing it would be nearly impossible for her to handle an eight-student mass suicide, with no clear time or location, on her own.

She then pointed to a piece of human paper art in the corner.

"Last night, I stationed a piece of human paper art on all rooftops of all buildings." She had spent quite a fortune on them, and they were the best substitutes she could find.

Fortunately, the university had strict rules against students accessing the rooftops, and all the rooftop doors were locked daily. Otherwise, if these human paper art pieces were to roam freely up there, they'd probably scare several students half to death.

If that happened, the trending news wouldn't be about a mass suicide but rather about Seastone University being overrun by human paper art pieces.

As they watched, the human paper art pieces seemed to receive some sort of command. After taking a few steps, they immediately stood still at the edges, resembling sentinels guarding the building.

Hank gazed toward Shannon, and at her lack of movements, he asked, "Is that… all?"

"Yeah. We just have to wait for the eight students to jump off next."

Why did that sound… off-putting?
