About an hour later, Hank walked out of his classroom building at Seastone University. Right then, he was stopped by his classmate. "Hank, is that… Shannon Jensen?"
Out of instinct, Hank wanted to refute by saying Shannon would never be here, yet when he followed their line of sight, he saw her.
She was surrounded by several students, blocking her way as they asked for autographs and photos.
"Shannon, have you been busy with assignments later? I haven't seen you post online in a while!"
"I'm your fan, Shannon! Can we take a photo?"
"Shannon, why did you come to our campus? Is there something occult here?"
Truthfully, Shannon was surprised that she still had fans after wrapping up Sixth Sense for some time. What happened to being forgotten if one stopped updating their social media?
That said, she didn't turn down the people who "liked" her and patiently took photos with them.
Hank stood afar, wondering if her visit to Seastone University had anything to do with him seeing Peanut earlier.
His friend asked, "Hank, she's your cousin, right? Can you introduce us to her?"
"Right! It'd be great if she could do a reading on me. I've just got into a new relationship recently…"
At that, Hank swept an indifferent glance at his friend. "She's not some fortune teller you see on the streets. Why should she do a reading on you?"
He turned his head to the other friend. "Also, she doesn't like making new friends, so don't even think about it."
After a pause, he lowered his pitch and warned, "More importantly, she has a fiancé now."
A fiancé that was a force to be reckoned with.
The two friends who were sharply rebutted by Hank both looked rather awkward. However, since he had always been like this, they dared not say anything more.
He was at a loss for words upon learning the activation of his third eye was a gift from the Mini Stone Turtle. He had never asked for something like this!
"Can I decline that feature?"
"Nope." Shannon recited solemnly, "One shall not decline a gift from the elder."
Similarly, one should not decline a gift from the respected.
Seeing his congested expression, Shannon kindly offered her a word of advice. "If you seriously don't want that ability, you can talk it out with the Stone Turtle."
Hank was speechless once again. Why would he negotiate with a pendant that would eat him alive if he didn't offer it enough raw stones? Insanity.
Indeed, to this day, he was still living in Shannon's lie that the Mini Stone Turtle would consume him if he didn't offer it enough raw stones.
Truth be told, she had long forgotten about it. Faced with his grim expression, she added, "Now that your question has been answered, it's my turn."
