Triston looked at Shannon, then at the serpent's egg in her arms and the tearful Poisy looking at him. For some reason, he felt as if he was being judged like a villain caught in the act.
He frustratedly snapped at Shannon, "You're writing the report for this!"
Shannon frowned. She didn't like writing reports, but though she resisted the idea, she readily agreed to it. "Alright."
After sending Triston on his way, Shannon turned to the two serpent demons and pointed at Blossom. "You'll write the report."
Then, she pointed at Poisy and continued, "You'll write a three-thousand-word self-reflection."
Blossom's eyes lit up instantly, and he nodded eagerly without hesitation.
Poisy hadn't expected Shannon to help her either as a mystic master. Anger and impulsiveness faded from her eyes, and she looked at Shannon with a newfound gratitude.
She bowed slightly toward Shannon and thanked her in a respectful tone. "I owe you a favor. Should you need anything in the future, I will not hesitate to assist."
Even without Shannon's intervention today, they owed her a great favor for saving the fetus soul of their child. They repaid kindness though they were serpents, and conversely, those who harmed them would not escape unscathed.

At the hospital, Layne's swelling gradually subsided after receiving the antivenom, though his wounds still ached.
Exhausted from the ordeal, he soon fell into a deep sleep. He had no idea how long he'd slept when an unbearable itch woke him up.

"The tycoon stared in terror as the small, seemingly insignificant snake led hundreds, and even thousands to surround him.
"Its eyes were cold and filled with rage. With a hiss from its mouth, the swarm responded and surged forward to overwhelm him.
"In the end, the tycoon's desperate screams were drowned out by the tide of snakes…"
