In reality, Shannon's behavior was a little disrespectful.
Bradley was upset, but he didn't reprimand her. Instead, he just said gently, "Shannon, since you already know that this is my grandma's room, don't go in. I can take you to my room."
Shannon simply rolled her eyes at him when she heard that.
"You want to know why I kept following you around back then, right? The answer lies in this room."
As she spoke, she strode into the room.
"Back then, your grandmother's spirit found me and asked me to keep an eye on you…"
Bradley never expected to hear a response like that.
The reason was so unbelievable that he wanted to laugh.
"My grandma's spirit? Shannon, even if you want to deny your feelings for me, you don't have to make up lies like that. I—"
Bradley's next words seemed to be stuck in his throat when he saw Shannon suddenly retrieving a talisman from her backpack and tossing it out.
The talisman was tossed into the air. Then, it remained suspended in mid-air in an upright position.
Right after that, he heard Shannon muttering under her breath.
"Heed my call, o spirits of the underworld. Appear now before me!"
When Shannon finished speaking, Bradley saw the talisman in the air suddenly burning without a visible source of fire. Green flames danced in the dark room, but they went out in an instant.
Right when the flames went out, Bradley subtly felt as if the temperature in the room had changed.
In the next second, Shannon suddenly turned around. She flung something akin to talisman ashes into his eyes.
Bradley covered his eyes. "Shannon, what tricks are you playing this time…"
After rubbing his eyes, Bradley painstakingly opened his eyes. But when he registered what he was seeing, his eyes quickly widened.
When Florence heard that, she was stunned for a moment. Then, she looked at Bradley again. She was looking him in the eye this time.
A surprised expression appeared on her wrinkled and loving face.
"My dear grandson! You can see me now!"
Bradley felt a chill run down his spine. His heart shivered, but when he met the familiar loving gaze, he subconsciously put on a pleasing look as he whispered, "Grandma…"
When Florence heard her grandson calling out to her once again, she was so touched that she floated right over to him.
Bradley was a little weirded out by his grandmother's movements, but his longing for his grandmother was greater. He subconsciously spread his arms to hug Florence who had loved and pampered him since young.
Florence looked emotional as she floated up to him, but when she approached him, she suddenly put on a stern look.
A cold breeze slapped Bradley across the face as Florence questioned him.
"Don't play dumb! Speak! Shannon said that you were pestering her. What's that about?"
