Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 1130

"Let me see." Maya pushed the person away but frowned when she saw the array on the gate.

What lay before them was the five-element celestial array, a commonly used defensive array in mystic arts.

Breaking the array wasn't difficult as long as one followed the mechanics of the five-element mutual's restrain and patiently dismantled it.

However, though it appeared to be the five-element celestial array, it clearly had been altered. Some of the patterns had shifted off their proper five-element trajectory.

"This has got to be the work of the Seastonians! Their lecturers must've taught them."

They had long heard about Albern's unconventional ways, but they never expected his students to alter the ancestral array passed down through generations, too!

"Can you break it?" asked Maya.

The senior responsible for breaking arrays, Rowan Delgado, answered, "I can, but it'll take some time."

He was a chosen candidate to represent his school, so he naturally had the ability. That said, it would take him at least two hours.

The rules only permitted them eight hours to find the bottles. If they overspent their time at this stage, they might not get a good placement in the end, despite passing through this challenge.

That was something they wouldn't allow to happen, especially Maya.

Since Skylar left home and went to Seastone City, this became the first time the two had a face-off. She couldn't even take the humiliation she felt from the message he left behind earlier, let alone accept her fate of getting halted by an array.

"All of you, step aside," Maya uttered with a cold voice. She retreated a step and fished out a red talisman from her bag.

Her teammates' eyes sparkled with excitement, and even the Jamboroughians outside widened their eyes in shock. "That's the fire thunder talisman!"

The fire thunder talisman was a high-grade talisman, one that an ordinary mystic master couldn't draw without a certain amount of spiritual energy. In fact, not even the lecturers at mystic schools had taught it.

The tournament rules stated that only self-drawn talismans could be used, and before entering the building, the lecturers checked to verify the spiritual energy signature on each talisman.

Skylar seemed to know what was up. Shannon glanced at his gloomy expression and silently signaled him to follow.

As the two groups upstairs quickly advanced, downstairs, the Northgaters, guided by the deity's instructions, finally found a way out of the illusory array.

After arriving at the main hall, they quickly made their way toward the upper floors.

Meanwhile, Team Demon was still within the illusory array…

"What kind of stupid place is this? It's a long corridor after another long corridor! Are those mystic punks pranking us?"

"This is getting ridiculous. We've spent too much time here! I'm going to break down this wall!"

"No breaking! Because of violent demons like you, the humans all regard us as morons."

"Who are you calling a moron?"
