The fire lightning striking the Jensen residence created an unmistakable clamor. The sudden boom was followed by the deafening sound of glass shattering, shocking everyone under the roof.

Hector, changing in his room, was startled by the commotion. Once he confirmed the direction of the sound, he darted out of his room with his shirt undone.

While passing by the staircase, he bumped into Adam, who rushed up to check out the situation. Both appeared solemn and anxious. Without another word, they bolted toward the last room at the end of the third-floor hallway.

That was Shannon's room, the source of the loud crashes and booms.

The father and son quickly knocked on the door but received no response. With no other option, they were about to kick it down when, in the next instant, the door suddenly opened from the inside.

Shannon's clothes were tidy. She hugged Marshmallow while standing in the room, appearing guilty for once.

"Shannon, what just…" Hector trailed off upon seeing the state of her room.

A corner of her room was in complete disarray. A noticeable scorch mark was on the balcony, and the glass door leading to it had shattered, scattering shards everywhere. "That's…"

"I've been developing a new thunder talisman, but things got out of hand." Shannon seemed particularly guilty when saying that.

Meanwhile, the other Jensens had rushed to the third floor to check out the commotion. They were speechless when they heard her explanation but didn't doubt her credibility. After all, this had happened before when she first moved in.

"Since the room needs renovation, why don't you move there for a couple of days?"
