The female staff looked quizzically at Caleb on the floor, while Shannon looked condescendingly at him as if he were a total fool.

To avoid getting "infected" by his stupidity, Shannon decisively left Caleb after exiting the Special Security Agency. Once she entered the backseats, Mark asked, "Heading home, Ms. Jensen?"

After some thought, Shannon answered, "Not yet. Let's head to the headquarters of White Corporation."

White Corporation was naturally the Whites' empire.

After learning about the news from Zane last night, Shannon acquired Yvette's contact number in advance from Hector. Since it was a private matter, she intended to visit her in person.

However, Hector mentioned that Yvette worked at the company most of her time. As such, Shannon would have a higher chance of running into her at the company rather than at her residence.

Mark was familiar with the White family. He started the drive without further hesitation. About 30 minutes later, they passed by Silverwood Avenue, where Will requested help looking for Clement in the last episode of Sixth Sense.

The road section was clearly under construction. Sitting in the car, Shannon could still see a spot by the roadside where various bouquets and toys were noticeably piled up.

Mark told her, "Since that last episode aired about the ghost dad, plenty of people have come to pay tribute to him and his child. They bring memorial items every day, and the sanitation workers only come to clear them out once in a while.

"I suppose it's a way for everyone to express their respect and sentiments."

Once they came to a red light stop, Shannon observed that area. To her surprise, Clement hadn't been guided to the underworld. He was, very much, still there.

He stood in a dark corner not far from the memorial items and occasionally glanced at the toys and the passing vehicles on the road. His ghastly energy was relatively calm yet different from typical wandering ghosts.

The receptionist couldn't recognize Shannon at first glance when the latter arrived. Thus, she courteously stated that she required an appointment to meet Yvette. Otherwise, she couldn't be let in.

Shannon was about to say she had texted Yvette about her visit when another receptionist appeared and recognized Shannon instantly.

Then, she nudged her colleague and informed, "That's the heiress of Jensen Corporation! You should call the assistant's office now." She subsequently turned to Shannon with eyes full of welcome. "Hold on, Ms. Jensen. We'll contact the assistant right away to meet with you."

Shannon nodded and was led by that same receptionist to sit on the couch.
