Beatrice was plagued by countless thoughts, her whole body trembling with fear.
Even Laura had fallen into Agnes' trap, how could she possibly compete?
What was Agnes planning to do to her?
The more Beatrice thought about it, the more terrified she became.
She couldn't end up in prison, locked away from the world for the rest of her life.
No, she couldn't let that happen.
Beatrice clenched her hands, her body shaking uncontrollably.
She had to strike first, she had to get rid of Agnes.
All of her current problems were caused by Agnes.
She couldn't just sit around and wait for disaster.
After some thought, Beatrice headed to the Elysian Hotel.
Sure enough, she found Hammer there.
Hammer was still polite to Beatrice, treating her with the utmost respect and referring to her as Miss Beatrice.
"Hammer," Beatrice said, "You must be aware of the current situation."
"Yes," Hammer replied, "Is there something you wish to tell me? I will do whatever is within my power to help."
"Would you do anything my mother asked of you?"
"Miss Beatrice, regardless of your opinion of me, I truly respect your mother. To me, she is the most admirable and beautiful woman. Therefore, whatever she asks me to do, I will do it."
Once this thought took root in Beatrice's mind, it spread like wildfire, consuming everything else. All she could think about was killing Agnes.
Upon hearing Beatrice's words, Hammer frowned slightly, "Did your mother really say that? It doesn't sound like her style."
Beatrice snapped back, "Are you saying you don't believe me? My mother said if you can't kill Agnes, don't bother visiting her. Just make it look like an accident and clean up the mess."
With that, Beatrice turned and left.
She knew Hammer would do it, because Hammer was a loyal fool. First to Cilian, now to Laura.
Beatrice had changed Laura's plan without her knowledge, she couldn't take it anymore.
The name 'Agnes' weighed on her chest like a mountain, suffocating her every second of every day. Agnes was a thorn in her side, a constant irritant. She wanted nothing more than to remove her and be done with it.
She refused to believe that Agnes was invincible, escaping death every time.
