Whenever Agnes thought of Beatrice, she felt a wave of sadness 

But that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. From that day on, she had completely let go of the blood ties with Beatrice. 

Since that day, Agnes had no more attachments to that family. 

Agnes went back to her room. 

Everything was the same as four years ago, even the comb she had left on her dresser hadn’t moved. 

Agnes knew she was probably gonna have another sleepless night. 

Over the years, the only thing that had been giving her a hard time was severe insomnia, especially in new environments.

But most of the residents here worked for the government. 

The security at the entrance was tight. 

Agnes couldn’t get in. 

Agnes parked her car on the side of the road outside and started munching on her sandwich. 

According to the info Nate gave her, Lundy had been taking his dog for a walk every day at noon since he got out of jail. 

So Agnes sat in her car and waited. 

But after an hour, there was still no sign of Lundy. 

Agnes was puzzled. 

She asked the guard at the gate. 

The guard said, “You mean that big shot crook? He didn’t live here and moved in with his daughter in the Capital. He probably won’t be coming back.” Agnes frowned. “When did he move?” 

“Just your luck, he left yesterday.” 

So Agnes had to leave. 

Looks like she had to track down Nate and find out Lundy’s address in the Capital. 

But Agnes decided to put that on hold. 

Lundy had just left, so he might need some time to settle down. 

Agnes decided to visit her grandma in the countryside first. 

After nearly four hours of driving, Agnes finally reached the countryside. 

She parked in her grandma’s yard. 

Agnes was actually a bit nervous. 

Because she hadn’t seen her grandma in four years. 

They hardly ever called each other because Agnes was afraid Jared would track her down. 

Just a few times when she was in Japan on business, Agnes called her grandma. 

Her grandma’s life was the same as before. She was still strong, and Albert regularly sent people to take care of her grandma, and had regular health checks for her. Agnes was very grateful to Albert for this. 

But since her grandma fell last time, Agnes decided to live with her grandma. 

Her grandma was the person she missed most in this world. 

But when the car stopped, Agnes felt something was off. 

Because there was no sound of sheep in the yard, and there was no light in the house
