Agnes started, “I’m thinking of bouncing from this place for a while, gonna make decisions after the kid’s born.” 

“Where you headed?” 

“I haven’t decided yet.” 

“You can’t go it alone, let me tag along.” 

Agnes shook her head, “Don’t sweat it, I’m gonna hire a nanny, got plenty of dough to cover it.” 

The next morning, Agnes woke up with a killer tummy ache. 

Her lifestyle had been all over the place these past few days. 

On top of that, she hadn’t been eating right. 

Agnes was always worried something might be wrong with her baby. 

Right now, she couldn’t care less about anything else. 

Kerri was already off doing her hospital internship. 

Agnes hurriedly called Kerri, who took her to the hospital. 

Agnes decided to play it safe. 

She put on a hat and a mask, keeping herself under wraps. 

The doctor at the hospital was Kerri’s senior, Pattie.. 

Once they were inside, Kerri reassured Agnes, “Don’t fret, Pattie’s one of us, she would never give out your information, she did your blood test last time.” 

After checking her, Pattie said, “It doesn’t seem to be a big deal, you’re 14 weeks pregnant, the fetus is still a bit unstable, I’ve prescribed some medication, take it for now, come back for a check–up in a fortnight.” 

Agnes left the hospital, only to run into the paparazzi. 

Turns out, a famous celeb had a car accident and was brought to this hospital. 

The hospital entrance was swarming with reporters. 

They couldn’t get in, so they waited outside. 

But they hit an unexpected jackpot. 

Agnes was way more famous than the star who had the car accident. 

Plus, she was the talk of the town, any photo of her could make the headlines. 

Especially her coming out of the hospital, it could stir up a ton of chatter. 

The moment Agnes and Kerri stepped out, they were ambushed by reporters. 

Kerri looked freaked out. 

But Agnes seemed pretty chill. 

Before the reporters could say anything, Agnes went ahead, “Dear journalists, I have news to announce that Jared and I have ended our marriage and that I am about to retire from the entertainment industry.” 

Agnes dropped two bombshells in one go. 

Even the reporters were taken aback. 

But Kerri knew what Agnes was up to. 

Only by dropping bombshells could she divert the press’s attention. 

Agnes was coming out of a hospital. 

For a female celeb, whether she’s pregnant or not, reporters love to make a meal out of it. 

Once it’s hyped up, Jared would notice. 

As long as Jared got suspicious, all the previous efforts would go down the drain. 

Jared might be fooled once, but he’s not one to be easily fooled. 

But now, Agnes dropped two bombshells in a row. 

Nobody would care about why she was at the hospital. 

Just the divorce with Jared was enough to blow everyone’s mind. 

Before this, ever since Jared’s birthday, rumors of their marital problems had been going around. 

Neither of them had made any comments. 

Until Preston’s death, Jared’s concern for Agnes put a stop to the rumors. 

Yet, merely two days later, Agnes announced she had divorced Jared. 

“When did you guys split up? Was there the other woman involved? There’s a rumor that Valeria Thomas was the other woman in your marriage, is it 

true?” 

“Ms. Pritchard, you exposed Mr. Whitfield and Alyssa’s relationship, leading to Alyssa’s suicide, was it the reason your relationship fell apart? What was the conflict between you and Alyssa that led you to expose the Whitfield family’s secret?” 

“Nebula Dreams is an Oscar–nominated film, Ms. Pritchard, you had every chance to compete for Best Supporting Actress, why would you choose to leave the entertainment industry at such a golden opportunity? Is there some insider story?” 

A barrage of questions was thrown at Agnes. 

Agnes responded, “I’ve said what I can, can’t answer the rest. 

Then, with Kerri by her side, she made her exit. 

Leaving the reporters behind, Agnes finally let out a sigh of relief. 

Kerri looked at her and asked, “You sure you won’t regret this?”
