Shadows In Durango
Chapter 75-1
Vincent’s POV
Approaching the location with two of my then by my side, I see some more of our girys waiting outside of the warehou us over in what seemed to be tellet.
“Here with only two minutes to spare, how typical of
you Vin!” Lenny retorts, as I chuckle and shake each of their hands)
“Are the trucks guarded securely?” I question, glancing around at the black G wagon coated car park.
Was that their signature gang symbol? Everyone must own a damn wagon? Who the fuck is this guy?!
“They are, everybody is in place. The guy is already inside in the upstairs office he’s waiting for you.” Lenny instructs as I nod and
push back my nerves.
These jobs didn’t leave any room for nerves, this was do or die and death wasn’t an option – not with Sofia waiting for me back at
the suite.
We head inside, finding middle ground men who pat us down as a ‘safety measure to avoid attempted assassinations and trap like that from taking place, before letting us pass through.
We climb the stairs, as the office door is opened for us by another guy as we step inside finding four men in total.
–
I eye each of their faces, taking mental note of what they all look like for future reference. Three of them were middle aged, with the fourth being around my age..
Chester, I assumed was the one with the fat cigar hanging from the side out his mouth.
How did I know that? Well, because these assholes were always cocky
“The young Walker? Pleasure to meet you in person. Please take a seat!” The cigar guy motions with his chubby fingers towards the empty chair as I nod and sink down into it.
“Apologies gentleman that my father couldn’t make it himself, but he sent the next best thing.” I state, causing the four of them to chuckle at my words in amusement.
Glad things seem to be going smooth thus far…
“So about the exchange, is it a contract you want to discuss? Regular drops for a set price?” I test, unsure of what exactly my purpose was here.
Come to think of it, my father sent me in blind to make a good impression, that was all I knew!
“Precisely, young Mr Walker, we want to discuss a contract. We will pay generously for your drop off today – and you can have your people count the money whilst we chat, how about that?” Chester offers, motioning with his hand before a man steps forward with briefcases filled with the cash.
I motion myself to Lester, who nods knowingly and takes the cases away to count – of course being watched by one of Chester’s men to ensure that we don’t try to run off with the money without paying up.
But that would be a rookie mistake to even consider yet they still won’t take the chance…

Chapter 75-1
“The floor is all yours.” I encourage, as Chester eyes the other men fore laughing heartedly.
“I like you already young Walker, you don’t want to fuck around!” He states, as I shrug and force out a half smile.
The truth was I didn’t want to be here; especially for my father. Sure if it was for my own gain then maybe I would consider it but this was all for him.
All for him to just sit back on his heavy ass and avoid risking a bulle!
“Well, we wanted to meet with your father because you currently have the biggest gun trade in the country amongst other enterprises and I guess you could say that we want to learn how.” Chester explains, before puffing some smoke out into the room from the cigar.
“My father won’t tell his secrets.” I deadpan, as he again just laughs me off as though I had cracked a deliberate joke of some kind.
“We don’t want to take anything from your family, but we would like to unite together. We are major in the cocaine trade and combining the coke and the guns, our two families will be untouchable.” Chester is eager that’s for sure, but I wasn’t the guy to make the decision.
–
I was simply the front for my father to check things out and to make a good impression to get the money – simple as that.

Chapter 75-2
“Well as you probably know, I’m not the head of the organisation so the best I can do for you is report back to my father and he can take the deal from there but I’m sure he would be interested in what you have to offer.” I ramble, not actually caring much for the meeting in itself.
“My question really is, how much does your father want, to marry her off?” He shrugs, causing me to feel sick at the enquiry.
