Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1674

With a loud crash, Kimberly hurled the cup in her hand to the floor, shattering it into pieces, sending the scalding coffee splattering everywhere.

As expected, the room fell silent immediately, everyone looking as timid as a bunch of quivering sparrows.

"Do we really need to throw a fit just because we're having a conversation?"

Kimberly rolled her eyes dramatically. Sure, they might think she was overreacting, but she knew they couldn’t afford to be lenient this time.

Everyone always thought the Woods family in Maple Grove was squeaky clean, with no shady ties on the other side of the pond, but it seemed these folks were a lot craftier than anyone had given them credit for.

"Juniper, you’re married now. The Woods family business is no longer your concern."

Kimberly hadn’t said a word until now; these people wouldn’t have received her mercy time and again if not for their ties to the Woods family.

It wasn’t long before the butler rushed back, drenched in sweat, clearly unnerved by Kimberly’s urgency.

"Ms. Woods, there’s no sign of Master Oliver at the hospital or at his residence."

Kimberly had already suspected this. Her expression remained indifferent, like this was just another day at the office.

"Maybe Oliver’s out handling some business; it’s not unusual for him to be absent."

"Master Theodore, Oliver’s house was wide open, and anything valuable has been cleared out."

"Juniper, you can’t just throw around accusations like this. Our Woods family is a prominent dynasty, and making such claims without evidence could stir up a lot of unnecessary trouble."

Kimberly glanced at the person speaking, and her assistant quickly placed the documents in front of her.

Kimberly tossed the file over to Holden, her eyes flashing with intensity. "Take a look for yourself."

The various branches of the Woods family scrambled to look over the documents, soon finding themselves stunned by the contents. The papers clearly outlined how the fourth branch of the Woods family had been in cahoots with the Larkin family, plotting to take over the Woods family.

If it were just about money, it might be manageable, but this was about a hostile takeover. This was no small matter.
