Charlotte stared at Jerome and asked, "What if we ultimately don't agree?"
"Then I'll have to regretfully withdraw," Jerome replied with a bitter smile, "Don't worry, I've never had any other intentions toward Anna and Ben, and I would never induce them to do anything inappropriate."
Charlotte nodded. Ben and Anna had already told her about their conversation. She would not have agreed to meet him if it weren't for his consistent honesty toward the two children.
After asking Jerome a few more questions, Charlotte finally agreed to collaborate with him.
Jerome quickly pulled out two contracts. "This is the variety show contract for you. If there's no problem, please sign it."
Charlotte looked at him speechlessly. That was quick.
After signing the contract, Jerome told Charlotte, "In two weeks, our filming crew will come to your house for the first interview. All you need to do is answer truthfully."
Charlotte nodded, looking at the contract in her hand. This was the first time she had ever signed a contract that made her feel uneasy.
When she got home, Charlotte told Ben and Anna about the variety show filming. Anna cheered instantly.
She ran upstairs, mumbling to herself.
Charlotte looked at Ben puzzled, "What is Anna going to do?"
Ben explained, "Anna said she can't embarrass herself in front of a national audience, so she's going to clean her room."
Anna never really liked cleaning her room and usually had to be prompted several times by either Charlotte or Joe to do so.
Charlotte never thought that filming a variety show could bring such a benefit.
Jerome could even imagine that this version of Joe, once aired, would attract countless fans!
Thinking of this, the smile on Jerome's face became even more evident. He said, "Miss Clinton and the kids..."
"They are upstairs," Joe gave a brief reply facing the camera, with no intention of leading them to find anyone.
Joe didn't move, and they didn't dare to speak up. Terrence looked helplessly at Jerome.
Thinking of the show, Jerome bit the bullet and said to Joe through gritted teeth, "Mr. Smith, could you please let us go upstairs to interview them?"
Joe frowned and glanced at the camera. Jerome quickly added, "Don't worry, this part will be prerecorded, and we will not go live without your permission."
