Although Beryl was still eating, her chewing was mechanical, and her mind was not on the food. She didn't believe Marcellus's words and directly rejected them, expressing her disbelief.
"I don't believe you." She directly expressed her disbelief with Marcellus's words.
"It's true." Marcellus raised an eyebrow, "You don't believe me even after I swear?"
"Since you don't like talking about it, why did you bring it up..."
"I didn't bring it up!" Marcellus blinked innocently, feeling a bit perplexed but mostly innocent, "You mentioned it first, and I just answered."
In reality, Beryl was just feeling jealous. At this point, no matter what he said, she felt especially upset. She raised her hand and nudged him with her elbow, saying, "Let go of me!"
"I won't."
Beryl didn't struggle anymore, but her expression wasn't pleasant either. She ate her meal in silence and didn't feed him anymore.
Marcellus knew she was upset with him, but he shamelessly moved closer, "I want to eat too, come on."
Seeing his nonchalant demeanor, Beryl became even more annoyed. She directly thrust the fork into his other hand, saying, "Then you eat. I'm not hungry anymore."
Marcellus was speechless.
Perplexed, Marcellus sensed that she was about to get up, so he quickly pulled her into his embrace and gazed at her pouting face, whispering, "I really didn't mean anything by it, just talking casually."
"But you must have thought of someone. Otherwise, why would you bring it up?" Beryl retorted.
Marcellus was thinking about how to continue to appease her and apologize when he suddenly heard this sentence. Immediately, he became alert, "What did you say?"
Beryl was oblivious to the change in his demeanor and repeated her words. But as she spoke, he lightly twisted her waist.
She immediately exclaimed, "Ah! What are you doing?"
"Having just me is not enough, and you still feel wronged?" Marcellus narrowed his eyes slightly, a hint of danger in his gaze, "then what? Have you set your eyes on someone else and want to be with them?"
If this were any other day, Beryl would have cowered, but today was different. She had more confidence, "There are so many cute guys on the street. I can be with anyone I want. It's good to date a few more and gain more experience."
