Finding Love in the Boss’s Embrace After Divorce novel Chapter 1394

Chapter 1394 Different Feelings

Beryl nodded, "Okay."

After the series of events, she had experienced tonight, all she wanted was to take a bath and wash away the residues of others that had attached themselves to her, or else she wouldn't be able to sleep.

Ten minutes later, Marcellus returned, with the bathroom light already turned on, and the sound of water flowing could be heard from inside.

Beryl slowly got up and walked toward the bathroom. As she reached the door, a white shirt was handed to her, "There's never been a woman staying overnight here, I only have shirts. This one's the largest and the material is comfortable. You can wear it as a dress."

Beryl glanced at the shirt in her hand. It was obviously his size, very spacious.

Recalling his previous actions, where he seemed to hate the fact that she had nothing to wear, and looking at him now, she could hardly believe this was the same man.

Marcellus tonight was especially unlike the Marcellus she knew, so gentle and considerate that she doubted her own eyes.

Seeing her zoning out again, Marcellus was slightly concerned, "Can you manage by yourself?"

Beryl quickly snapped out of it, fearing his next sentence would be 'I'll help you', and quickly nodded, "I can."

Marcellus looked skeptical, "I'll be waiting here for you, just call me if you need anything."

She quickly nodded, turned around, entered the bathroom, and locked the door behind her.

Removing her clothes, she didn't look at her reflection in the mirror. She somewhat dreaded facing the traces left on her by Zane.

The clean, high-end bathtub was filled with water at a constant temperature of 95 degrees Fahrenheit, the most comfortable temperature for the human body.

Her life had always been filled with various trifles that troubled her, leaving her little time to genuinely consider her own feelings. Now that Marcellus had barged into her life with such a strong posture, disrupting her previously dull existence, it might not be a bad thing.

Perhaps, he could bring her different experiences.

She was twenty years old. She should loosen up a bit and stop being so restrained.

Let's give it a try, no matter what the outcome, no matter what the future holds, she must take this step and leave no regrets.

The warm water created gentle waves against her body, much like her heart - warm and swelling with emotions that had been suppressed for too long. Now that there was finally an outlet for release, she needed to hold back, or else... it would be too easy to lose control.
