Everyone knew what was going on. In the end, Cathy was unwilling to come to the hospital with Huston and Lucas because she was afraid that she would not be able to control her emotions and cry on the spot.
One night, Huston stayed in bed with him. Evelyn wanted to stay with him, but he refused. He was worried that her body would not be able to take it, so he asked the driver to send them back.
But he didn't expect that Sir. Lloyd would still be sick on such an ordinary night.
After dinner, at nine o'clock in the evening, Sir. Lloyd asked him to find some medical staff to temporarily pull out the tube in his mouth.
The moment the tube left his stomach and was finally taken out of his mouth, Sir. Lloyd's face changed in pain. He could open and close his mouth freely. Without the obstacle of the tube, he felt much better.
"I'm sick and suffering..." The old man's voice was gritty, and his old eye sockets were tinged with a hint of dampness.
"Hold on. You'll get better."
Hearing this, Sir. Lloyd shook his head. "I know my condition. Huston, you don't have to hide it from me all the time. I only have a few days left..."
Huston did not know what else to say. He wanted to tell Sir. Lloyd that it was not true. There was still a long way to go, but he could not say anything. Looking at the face that had turned a little yellow because of the IV drip, he could not say anything else.
After all, those things were heavy to him.
Later, Cathy walked out of the shadow and remarried. Then she had Renee. Everything was on the right track, but she ignored his feelings, so he kept a distance from his family. But every time he had time, he would be there alone.
Sir. Lloyd saw all of this. The older a person got, the more vicious his eyes became. Everything he had done had been kept in his heart.
After hesitating for a moment, Huston reached out and grabbed Sir. Lloyd by the hand. "Don't say that. I'm fine now."
