My words made Ashley’s face darken.
“Maintain anesthesia, prepare the electrocautery.”
I had already begun disinfecting my gloves, my gaze never leaving the surgical area.
“Monitor intracranial pressure changes. I’ll clear the hematoma and stop the bleeding.”
The other medical staff immediately took their positions, following my commands to join the rescue effort.
Ashley bit her lip: “Should I stay to help?”
“All non–essential personnel, out.”
I had already seen that Ashley staying here would only be a hindrance.
“But…” Ashley mumbled.
‘Dr. Carter, this isn’t something you can handle.” I remained expressionless. “If you really want to help, go comfort the patient’s family.”
Many medical staff in the room were already showing impatience with Ashley. Everyone was already on edge.
Every alarm sound here could mean a life might slip away at any moment.
since Ashley entered, everyone had noticed her behavior.
f not for her relationship with Alpha Ferris, they would have scolded her away long ago.
Ashley clenched her fists and could only leave the operating room.
led the surgical team in a fierce battle against death.

myself had barely closed my eyes, relying solely on iced coffee to barely maintain consciousness.
Those deep eyes held emotions impossible to describe.
In the office, the director was thrilled upon hearing the news of the successful surgery. “This is all thanks to you! You didn’t just save a life–you preserved our hospital’s reputation!”
“it wasn’t just my achievement,” I said gently. “Every team member held on until the very last moment.”
