I sighed and looked up into those deep eyes, my tone serious: I’m not angry.”

Ferris scoffed, a hint of mockery flashing in his eyes: “You say one thing but mean another.

“Think whatever you want.” My tone was calm as water.

This made him lose patience instantly. His brow furrowed sharply, his voice cooling several degrees: Aurora, I’ve already lowered my head. What more do you want?

While organizing the documents on the table, I responded coldly: “I don’t need your apology.”

Ferris stared at me for several seconds, suppressed anger in his eyes, looking exactly like an enraged wolf.

He paused, his Adam’s apple bobbing twice, his tone unnaturally asking: “Where’s the gift?”

I turned my head: “What gift?”

“Ethan said he saw you buy a watch.” Ferris’s tone changed slightly, suppressing his anger: “Weren’t you trying to appease me by…”

Just as I was about to interrupt him, he continued frowning: “Enough, Aurora. If you keep this up, it won’t be interesting anymore.”

Upon hearing this, I suddenly laughed.

Ferris’s expression turned cold: “What are you laughing at?”

‘What you said is too funny.” I looked up at him, his pupils reflecting my image.

Ferris’s face darkened enough to drip ink, his voice suddenly rising several octaves: “Then who is it for?
