Brayan didn’t rush her. He waited patiently, complimenting each outfit she modeled.
Now and then, he glanced at his phone. Suddenly, a WhatsApp message from Jamie popped up.

Jamie: “Mr. LeBlanc, per orders, the doctors checked on Ms. Griffin. It’s mostly surface injuries, but the leg is pretty bad. She caught a cold too and will need to stay hospitalized for at least a week. The VIP room will be available for her the entire time.”
“Bravan, how about this dress?”
Catalina twirled in front of him. He locked his phone and gave her a charming smile.
“Perfect. Looks amazing on you.”
In the end, Brayan bought every outfit Catalina tried on. It was already late at night when he drove her home. The rain still hadn’t stopped.
He always walked her to the door every time.
Tonight was no exception.
“Get some rest. Good night.”
Just
as he turned to leave, Catalina grabbed his hand.
“Brayan…”
She pulled him inside.

“It’s pouring outside, and you know how scared I am of thunder…”
Catalina’s voice was soft and sweet. Her perfectly made–up face glowed. a gentle pink in his eyes.
“Don’t go home tonight. Stay with me, okay?”
Jennifer hadn’t expected to stay in the hospital for five whole days.
During that time, the police had come by for a statement and investigation. Since the detention center held only minors and Jennifer hadn’t been sexually assaulted, Aaron and his gang only had their detention extended for punishment.
Brayan never showed up the entire time.
Jennifer wasn’t surprised. After all, when she’d had a miscarriage, he hadn’t visited her either.
Instead, he had been on a fishing trip with Catalina.
Jennifer took a sip of the water. The bitterness in her mouth was unbearable.
