Moonlight was coming in through the window, so you could tell it was nighttime outside now.
Jennifer realized that she hadn’t been unconscious for too long after Grady had drugged her.
Staring at the small window for a while, Jennifer bit her lower lip.
She was very disappointed.
Because the window was too small and high up, she couldn’t climb up to it. Even if she did manage to climb up, she wouldn’t be able to
escape.
I have to think of another way…
She took a deep breath and racked her brain.
The air was very humid here, and you could still hear the sound of the
waves.
Without any surprises, Grady was probably płanning to escape by boat, so he locked her in the warehouse at the dock.
There was another person besides her who was watching over her.
He’s a man, looks like he’s been around the block, with scars on his face and tattoos on his hands.
Jennifer was thinking if she could communicate with the other party, promise to give them some money, and get a glimmer of hope in return.
“How much did Grady promise to give you? I’ll give you double.”

Chapter285
Jennifer said.
Grady’s assistant replied to her, No way.
“If you keep talking too much, I’ll cut off your tongue.”
Jennifer’s heart skipped a beat.
The way of giving money doesn’t work, she has to think of another way
Sitting up on the ground, Jennifer kept an eye on Grady’s assistant and slyly took off the diamond ring on her left ring finger.
This diamond ring was princess–cut, with hollow inlay and exposed edges, perfect for cutting ropes.
Chapter285
Jennifer felt a ringing in her cars, like she was deaf, and half of her face was burning.
